bah, old news. I was initially diagnosed in high school with an enlarged heart after going through a sports physical by a hack doctor. Low resting heart rate, picture perfect bp, and high red blood cell counts. Just before I was sent in to get a bunch of (expensive) tests to make sure i wasn't going to keel over dead the nurse asked me if I was a swimmer. I was, and I was better than fine.

any endurance based sport has this effect. It makes sense really, the heart is a muscle and gets stronger with strenuous exercise.
I was a pretty decent distance swimmer in highschool, and a tuba player, hence the enlarged heart.

You mean that exercising a muscle makes it grow larger? No shit. Get out of here. I don't believe it. You must be joking. Quit pulling my leg. That's nonsense. I call bullshit.
