so most of you fattypantses are going to be out riding bikes and stuffing your faces with fries, but if you're on the hill and uninclined to eat tons and tons of stuffed potatoes, come stop by my art opening at the 2tue Capitol Hill Art Walk.
I've got a small show of 10 or 11 photos (if you follow my flickr you've probably seen them before, but now they're IRL and framed and for sale! and everything) at the Copper Vine, 1315 E Pine St. The Art Walk is officially from 6 to 9 that evening, and I'll probably be there the whole time... There will be wine and cheese (duh! art!), but if you arrive later, you might want to BYO, since I have no idea how many people will show up and I know how you people are with booze. (Also, I know how I am with booze.)
Anyway, I'd love it if just a few of you fuckers showed up. You don't have to, though.

Man that sucks I totally want to go!
Actually, we should organize a pre-ride art showing thing, since your show is starting at six and the ride isn't until 7.

I'll try to make it. How early does the Tuesday ride usually leave? It can't take more than about 20 - 25 minutes to get from the top of Cap Hill to Red Square.

The rides are organized enough for me. I may show up, god knows I love cheese. Wine's okay too.

I dunno, that seems a little high... Perhaps if one of you guys with geeky ass glasses would continue to act like Drew Carey we could play a little Power of Ten

My morning commute, although slightly shorter than this, is 15 minutes, on a good (aka not wet) day. You could do it. The tuesday ride has never, in my experience, rolled out of RS before 7:30.

Man, fuck that fat republican asshole, lookin like me when I was a little fatter.
Red square is probably about 15 minutes from south cap hill, 20 if you have a fixed gear and can't bomb down the hill...

Yes - yes - yes. For those of us that want to attend, let's go and then make plans to meet up with the group at the bird, er, Red Robin.

I agree. Where would we meet? At the art show instead of Red Square?
BTW, today's cyclocrossers went to the Bellingham area Red Robin post race and I learned today that A) I don't eat that many steak fries so I need to train more at competitive eating and less at cyclocross and B) the onion rings further reduce my ability to eat steak fries and C) bulimia is cheating, but it allows one to eat more bottomless fries . And it makes your hair frail. Good thing I don't have any hair. Game on Tuesday, dudes. You're going down, even after art show wine and cheese...

Just meeting at the show would be logical.
@ Matt: glad to see you didn't pass out asleep on the way home.
Neo-Roman Meximerican says: Bulimia isn't cheating, it's a valuable tool in eating even more food once you've reached your limit.
I think I said that anorexia makes your hair take on that beautiful dry hay look; still the same malnutrition bit, but hey! whatever. So just remember to not throw up your last meal of the day, cover your enamel, drink some cool water beforehand, and use two fingers (unless you're like me and can just will it out). Oh... and baking soda toothpaste in the (man)purse.
Stupid onion rings.

Pictures from Cyclocross are up on my flickr:
In other news, I evidently sold a photo yesterday, so you guys are only going to get 90% of the show. Also: If anyone wants a print of anything in my photostream, regardless of whether or not it's in the show, let me know. Price is $20 for 8x10, which comes framed... ask me about other sizes :)

What kind of art show you running Kat. I thought pieces that are sold stay on the wall until the show closes. Is this a one night show? Cash and carry sort of first come first served, better hurry cus there won't be anything on the walls sort of show.

Hey, I'm not running it, I just put the pictures up in the damn shop. My aunt can be a sucker for customers so when someone came in saying they wanted it for a gift immediately she sold it to them. I've asked her not to let anyone take any of the other pieces until the end of the month...
not my damn fault. I ordered another copy of the print but it won't be in for a week or two...

yeah, I know that part, but there was talk of meeting earlier at the art show.

I'm not sure that ever gelled, I think the art show is DIY.
The Copper Vine is between 13th and 14th on Pine, on your right if you're ascending and adjacent to a parking area.
So, since showing up to the show seems to be DIY at the moment, how about we all plan on leaving at the same time. This should give some lobbying power in getting to Red Square before departure, and you're still riding in a pack to the Red Robin if departure is missed.
I propose an 1855 excuse yourself and meet outside time, with an expected take off of 1905 or prior.

how many pieces do you have in the show? are there only so many framed prints and then you will have unframed prints available as well?

there were 10 8x10's and 1 12x18, all framed. I can order more, but I get my prints from a place online so it takes awhile. If anyone knows of a decent print shop (better than kinkos) I'd be interested; that would decrease the turnaround.
Just got an e-mail from my aunt - she wants to keep the photos up through October, too, so if you can't make it tonight then you've got a whole nother month to come check them out.
Anyway, see you fuckers later tonight.
