Thank you for putting up the ghost bike.
Thank you for painting the street "A Cyclist Died here"

In person there is way more class and respect then you often see on the forums.
I rode by the memorial for the first time today and it looks great. While riding by there was a family (mother and two daughters) reading the signs and looking at the ghost bike. It looks like it's making an impact to me.
It's great to see how quickly things move around here sometimes. I left Saturday morning for Portland and there wasn't anything about putting up the ghostbike -- I returned Sunday night and it was already up.

don't go getting any ideas. a ghost trike would be significantly harder and more expensive to do, and we're lazy.
and i agree... it was what needed to be done, and the least we could do.

I was worried that you guys would be too hooligan-ish for my taste on the 9-11 ride, but really you're mostly a bunch of nerds (and I say that with love). Rowdy nerds? Sure! That's what made it fun and makes me want to ride with you guys again.

to be fair, the main hooligan was stuck at work, to which i had a shot of whiskey and giggled to myself.

Agreed. I rode by for the first time tonite and it's beautiful. I had two friends die last month (non-bike related) and I KNOW, KNOW, KNOW that this memorial means a lot to Bryce's family and friends.

As a Colorado native who moved to Seattle to attend UW, this story has hit especially close to home. From reading the posts, it appears some of you have been able to be in contact with Bryce's family and friends. If any of these folks are still in Colorado, I'd like to chat with them about a memorial ride in Denver as well. I would like their blessing and involvement if they so desire. Just send me a PM. Thanks so much

Henry, just remember, I am not now , nor have I ever been a member of Cascde Bicycle club. But I do use their board.
I'm a West Sounder. Which rememinds me, if any of you hooligans ever decide to see where the ferry boat goes, and want to try some real hills, not those slight inclines in seattle, come on over next July and do the Tour de Kitsap. We have a refreshing and mildly alcoholic beverage brewed over here, Fat Bastard Ale, and IF we were slipped a moderate amount, we might turn our head for you to "pirate" the ride.
gears to you, and thanks again....leo
