ah. I'm off 90 anyways, right at the Eastgate P&R. Curious, are there any other drones out here on the Eastside during the day?

Ah, so that's where you were coming from. I'm a little further up at about 156th.

Don't think I'll be out tonight fella's, trying to get my bike all taken care of. If God waves his magic hand I might be there on my trusty Peugeot, but that's a long shot.

I have no idea why I'm not out with you guys tonight. Now that I've had my Pointy Cherry popped on Tuesday, I really need to go out for a real ride, especially before the summer ends. But now I'm full of booze... dammit. Plus my wrists need a break or I need to learn to ride in the non-drop position while still going fast.

You can't build up your riding chops without doing it, says me who totally is not out riding with everyone. Oh well, I saw some bizarre french film at the siff cinema instead.

Wow, that was the sketchiest riding I've done in a while!

Hopefully, people will be buying some lights for the next time we end up on some pitch black trail riding towards an army reserve post...

And for all of you who went over the bridge hoping I'd make it back to westlake safely, I didn't. I stopped at dexter instead since I knew how to get back by going up the hill.

Nah, that's part of the fun. It's way less exciting when you have 25 watts of halogen facing forward.

Ah come on, explore a little. Westlake is now a two way street from Valley to Denny even, you would have been fine.

Yes, at least you didn't slide off the trail on to that mini-slope; my inability to ride a straight line is amazing. My elbow is still sliding out some blood but my sport coat took the brunt so my t-shirt came out free of harm. =)

Glad to see you made it home; I'm always a little worried about you but I figure your helmet hides that skin-head you sport.

Very true. My gf plied me with good pasta and wine, and then I had some Beam, that's my excuse.

The scene from ‘Shawn of the Dead” when Shawn’s group is going through backyards to escape zombies and he runs into his ex-girlfriend and her entourage and it is a mirror image of Shawn’s group.
Well when I left everybody at Westlake (didn’t feel up to riding), I ran into another group of Thursday riders who meet down by Pioneer square. Was there a Derrick, Lee, Ben mirror images, couldn’t tell it was dark.. I rode with them for a while they were headed to the Burin Elliot Bay Brewery, and then peeled off when one of the group had a flat.
Strange things happenin’
There is a P-83 group is there a P-84 group also?

Lights != fun!

Also, we went up westlake before, when I ditched you and kat at 7th and bell. it's easier, if more heavily trafficked.

fun note: Andre, Andrew and Pub Defender Guy (whos name I forget) encountered the foulest garbage truck ever down on the waterfront on the way home. It smelled like it was full of feces and rotting meat. We could smell it a full three blocks away after it passed us. It's been quite awhile since my gag reflex kicked in with just a scent.

The weird thing is that it wasn't a truck operated by the regular gargabe hauling company in town, although it did have all the requisite licensing to work in Sea.

from my years working in a butcher shop...you really do NOT want to know what was in there. Remember, NOTHING is wasted...ever! Let your mind percolate on that vision and recall the smell at the same time=fun for you!

can you say "Solient Green"?

No, but I can say Soylent Green. In some ways it was better than the original book (which did not contain the other other white meat as a plot element).

Stuff like that makes me glad my first step father smoked three packs a day. Second hand smoke can be good for you!

Howdy. Public Defender Guy here. I was once in the Medical Examiner's office about an hour after they'd brought in "a floater". The truck smelled almost that bad. My guess is the body in the garbage truck was not a floater, but a grounder, if that's the right word.
