Got a ring from Sketch. They're in Leavenworth, back this evening. Got pummeled last night. I'm sure he'll regale--and the pictures will tell it ALL.

Yeah i was in a bunch of snow on Granite Mountain on Saturday, figured they were getting a lot more than me.
Personally? I hope sketchy's dead and ben is in a coma so i can pee on him ... before he dies.

sorry, not dead yet.
but it was pretty brutal.
20's & whiteout until last night when a warm front ushered in sideways sleet and 60ish mph winds.
and to anyone that cares, we made record time back from leavenworth so seibold could catch his train with a whooping 10 minutes to go.
leavenworth to downtown: 1:50
i'm tired. bye.
yuck fucking jesus. Glad to see I made the right call by playing video games, drinking red wine and napping on couches all weekend.

That was some fun winter camping. We got over asgard pass just in time for the bad weather to roll in, dug in and pitched the tents in about 4 feet of snow. As Ben pointed out, nice and breezy up there. Then we left just in time for the skies to clear as we got back to the bottom.
I'm amazed you guys made it back in time for Ryan to catch the train.
Nobody lost any toes, but if someone had it wouldn't have been Sketchy - I think he has antifreeze for blood. Every time I looked at him he wasn't wearing gloves.
Thanks for organizing and leading, Sketchy. And especially thanks for running around like a madman at 2am during the peak of the storm, in waist deep snow, yodeling and showing off your alpine-boner.

Seriously, the hardest I've ever laughed at 2AM in a windstorm at 7800'!
BEST .83 RIDE EVER!
More pics when I'm done unloading wet gear from my car.
This was THE BEST WEEKEND EVER (of this year)!! A damn good challenge, but a rewarding one to say the least. Although it was slightly chilly, the snow created a stunning blanket covering vast acres of untracked land. Walking among the surreal landscape of towering jagged cliffs and icy blue lakes definitely made me feel more alive and rejuvenated than I have in a long while. Thanks Sketchy and for all of those who faced up to this challenge with PHENOMENAL enthusiasm and efforts
..oh yeah.. and we saw an avalanche..BAD ASS

Legend has it he burst forth from a charred oak barrel, fully grown; a man covered in mash and knowledgeable in the ways of the land.
