Yeah it hurt a bit. I ended up going to the UW Medical Center ER after reviewing a previous discussion about preferred ERs. And I have to concur that UW is fast. I was in a room within an hour, but it did take something like a 5 hour wait until they actually snapped my finger back in place. In addition to that, I'd have to refute the following:

langston wrote:
yeah, but UW doesn't take 80% of people's health insurance. Take me there and get ready to check yourself in for a massive nut punch.

....because the front desk was able to find and confirm that my insurance will work.

I'm kinda getting tired of getting into crashes, so I'm out for a few weeks. That and I have a sprained ankle too. Langston: sorry that I let down our team. God apparently didn't approve of me trying to make fun of Mormons.

Lesson from the night: Don't fuck with characters from childhood storybooks who have higher degrees in supreme ass-kicking. You will go down. Alice in Wonderland for the MOTHER FUCKING WIN!!!

good job Alice In Wonderland.

PJDiddy, we're both fired for not signing the manifest. Team "treehugger" indeed. Stupid hippies :)

Hay, anyone pick up my pound of Ladro coffee I won for Judges Prize of "That cute Mormon boy"? It wasn't in my bag when I stumbled out of bed this morning.

sweet. I'll uhh, bring a beer or something to pay the portage fee if that person can bring it out on Tuesday. Or, conversely, I can probably rendezvous if that person happens to work at a bike shop here in the wesizzle

I bumped a car on first (front wheel tap on rear bumper). The female passenger got out .... yellling ... male driver gets out ... yelling .. hitting ... more yelling

I do know that I told her to "go back to Kent" which was not popular.

I hope you didn't scuff their paint.

I mean, I guess I could see people being pissed about pushing in a side panel or a pedal + paint = scrape moment, but some wheel love on a bumper designed to take the impact of much larger vehicles? I understand that Henry has some heft, but for seriously though, check your bumper and move on.

For those that missed out, Rubik cube man's costume was solved at the finish line. Any race that involves eating chicken to win 2nd place (for #8) is okay by me. Manifest (sic throughout -- there is no #26):

Quote:

1. What building is famous for being called the heroine? What is the address?

2. Clue: Zymogenetics: What did this bldg used to be called? And how many stacks does it have?

3. Trick or treat 1851 S. Lane

4. Bring a carved pumpkin to the finish. Bonus on the manifest if it has a lit candle at the finish.

5. Find seven "7" different colors of leaves intact to the finish!

6. How many "dances" are on broadway? And what are the names? Do them for the fun of it. Take a group picture.

7. What is the newest bike shop in town? What is the address and what bike is in the window?

8. Bring a skeleton or bones to the finish!

9. 2500 Block of Westlake Ave N. What does it say on the marquee?

10. Where is the artificial limb company?

11. Who says; "Sucess is not always at the summit?" Hint; parlor f.

12. Roanoke & 10th Ave E; who is on the interurban sign?

13. Satellite jukebox; what is song #0017?

14. Find a stamped penny of the space needle! Hint - waterfront.

15. Who's riding a bike in the window of reload bags?

16. 420 E. Howell; what will you eat @ this terrace?

17. 420 E. Denny Way; what kind of bath can you get here?

18. 420 Bellevue E.; I used to live here. How many units will be torn down?

19 420 Braodway E.; what color are the lantenrs?

20. 420 E 14th. trick or treat?

21. 420 15th Ave E. how many hours a day?

22. 420 Broadway. Trick or treat?

23. What car crowns the "castle"?

24. What shape is on Jimmy's necklace?

25. How old is the lincoln reservoir?

27. Bring back matches from these places! Lofi, Cowgirls, 13 Coins.

28. 710 15th Ave E. What will be in your dreams tonight?

Bring your completed (readable and intact or what ever to the finish @ 1st & S. Lander.

That was Craig "Super Singlespeed" from Counterbalance. He had the "solved" cube stashed at someone's house outside of the start so he went there and changed before continuing on his evening ride through the city. Will be interesting to see if he wore it at today's CX race.

Hm. A beer? A single beer? I dunno man, you might have to do better than that. The pound of coffee was handed to me by someone (I do not remember who, or if I even knew them...) as I was getting ready to leave the afterparty, I had no idea it wasn't for me. I opened my bag this morning and was stoked to find it in there; I left it at the apartment with the grinder, because I have no way of turning beans into grinds at my own place.

I think you're going to have to do better than a beer. Split the pound of coffee with you? :D

You told me last night to ask for credit where it's due.

So I took a shit ton of Surly's pics. w00t! Thanks for always letting me run around like a crazy person with your camera. Thanks to all who are my subjects.

I had so much fun I want to do it again! I want to do it again! I loved how they made it confusing and fun and weird with lots of tricks and plenty of treats.

I dreamt all night about the things we couldn't figure out, finding locations that didn't exist. Someone gave me a handful of stamped pennies in my dream...

AWESOME!

Fabulous time everyone- by far one of the best Halloweens ever!!!
I would however like to send my regrets out to Baby Jesus who got hit by a car in Pioneer Square and fucked up his shoulder. I can only begin to imagine what the driver thought of that one :)
