As many of you may know (or can see on the forums here), I live in Lynnwood. I see this as a problem. I would like to move to Seattle soon. If you, or anyone cool you know is looking for a roommate, please let me know.
Thanks.

While I am not living under the misfortune of a locale such as Lynnwood, ditto. I'm looking for a room too.

Thank you Derrick, that worked. I'll be moving to 56th and Roosevelt on Dec. 1st. Lee, can I borrow your trailer that weekend?
yes. are you going to move via bike from lynnwood?
I certainly wouldn't be happy about driving... :)

How much stuff are you moving?
I have a not as large trailer if you want to build a train of them.
Colin's trailer seems better for moving than Lee's.
Edit: Nice location!

ha, you obviously overestimate how easy it is to get a ride to go to lynnwood at all, much less with trailers and cargo bikes!
remmy, how much stuff do you have to move? if we can round up colin's trailer and alex's, i'm happy to come along and help tow stuff as well. i've not yet seen how loaded i could get the trucker with two buckets, trailer, and basket?

The idea usually comes up after I ask "where are we going?" and Eric_s replies "your mom's house," but as far as I know, a tue. or thur. ride has never made it to Lynnwood. Richmond Beach is the furthest I can think of.

I was just planning on moving it all myself, but if you want to help, that's cool. Bed frame, mattress (boxspring too? I can't remember...), some boxes of clothes and shit. Computer/monitor/etc, some books. I still haven't planned or packed anything, but once I get an idea of how much shit I want to take, I'll let you know. The trailer train would be pretty rad.

This is still gonna happen, assuming I can get at least one trailer.
Lee, I'll be moving: a bed frame and headboard, large mattress, 19" tv, computer and 15" CRT, a wide book self and a few boxes of books (but not my whole library), a folding table, stereo and speakers, and a few boxes of other random junk. Clothes will be in bags we can just throw in panniers. I think the boxes might fit fine in your trailer; the fun part will be the furniture.
I'll be on the Tuesday ride, so we can talk then.

I'd be happy to use my Sweet New Car to help you move. I got bike racks this weekend so we can carry your bike around. That's kind of like moving by bike.

oh sonofabitch. i've been home for fifteen minutes and i still can't feel my toes.
remington is the beastliest beast of beasts, hands down. not only did he manhandle colin's trailer bike with boxes of books, a mattress, bedframe, and bookshelf - the damn thing had a flat tire and we were riding in snow and on highway 99.
not the coldest i've ever been, not the most i've ever hauled, not the stupidest thing i've ever done, but it's the top hauled-cold-stupid thing, hands down.

I've got to say that was probably one of the most difficult things I've ever done on a bike. Those last few miles were tough; I haven't run out of steam like that in a long while, if ever. I kept myself pretty warm hauling that thing, but I stood in the shower for maybe 10-15 minutes and still couldn't feel my toes completely.
Thanks for helping, Lee and Andrew. It takes some pretty good friends, or crazy ones (or both), to sign up for so much suffering to help someone move like that. You guys kick ass.
Henry: Thanks for the offer, but cars suck. :)
I got some other friends over to unload everything last night, so you guys can come pick up your trailers whenever you want. They are out of plain sight from the driveway, in the side yard.

You guys are awesome and hardcore. Way to rock out!
Sorry I couldn't remember your name, Andrew. You were the one that rode with me when I couldn't keep up after the DBDH! Thanks again!

A flat tire! No way! That bike has 2.1" slicks and thorn resistant tubes.
Well, sounds like the most hardcore bike move ever. You can return the trailer to 2020 whenever you get around to it.

a flat on the trailer though! and nobody had the ability to move their fingers enough to patch it or at least stuff the tire full of slush to make it more wheel-like.
also, rem: i picked up my trailer this afternoon but you still have my buckets. both of my currently working bikes have racks that can haul 'em, so bring them to the tuesday ride?

Sure, I could do that; I'll feel like riding again by then. Could you upload the photos to flickr when you've got the chance?

The photos are awesome, Lee showed them to me yesterday. Killer ride. I kind of wish I was along for the story, but it also sounded pretty brutal. If you ever do this again and have a flat tire give me a call, I'll bring you a replacement wheel.

I'll, uh, keep that in mind, but I don't think I'll be doing it again anytime soon.
