this is about a block from my house. it's free, and the first race starts at 1pm a block from my place.

if anyone wants to have a drink before hand, ill be at the buckaroo (where else would i be?) having a drink and shooting a game of pool (or 10) about an hour before hand. then going to the races.

Pissed. I am going to be in Port Hadlock for a wedding. This should be pretty cool. My roommate is having people over so if you see a bunch of drunks on my porch, please join them.

Buckaroo is < 2 blocks from my house. Might stop by. I didn't even realize they had a pool table there. I thought it was just full of crusty old bikers. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Mississippi and I talked about it a bunch, had some ideas and nobody else seemed to be into it, so it dropped. You had your chance...

it could though. I've got a 15' wheel that could bolt onto the end of the yolk, and a simple pinion (aka a broomstick fused to the hub, pull = right, push = left) steering system would suffice

fremont is a pretty straight hill (no pun intended, seriously, until I read it back to myself, now it is), steering is not that necessary.

The course will not be straight. Steering is required.

Who needs brakes? You can go faster on a fixed gear shopping cart than a freewheeling shopping cart equipped with brakes.

oh yeah, you're new. This cart has 16' forks & wheels welded onto rear of it, with a 6ft boom off the front. We raced it last spring FTW.

The Nickerson opens at 11:30 daily according to their website.

The races don't start until 1:00, so why not an 11:30 meetup at the Nickerson?
