I'll bring the bourbon. Right now I've got Wild Turkey 101 or 101 Wild Turkey. I've got that nice big flask with the little cups and everything so we can share without essentially kissing each other. Bourbon, rain gear, lights, all set.
Cigarettes too, but I won't be smoking if my allergies keep my sore throat going.

Not new, still Swedish, just a new shift. I'm working Thur - Sat from 08:00 - 20:30. It's a great shift, but it precludes riding on Thursdays though.

The "weather" forecast says it's supposed to rain this afternoon. And me without my fenders.
I'm out, I have plans tonight. Have fun!

there was a be-you-tee-full sunrise this morning (yeah, i see them all), which is not usually a good omen.
on the forecast side of things:
431 AM PDT THU SEP 27 2007
...SNOW SHOWERS ARE STILL IN STORE FOR THE OLYMPICS AND CASCADES DOWN TO THE 3500 FOOT LEVEL ON FRIDAY...
A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM WILL USHER IN A COLDER AIR MASS ON FRIDAY THAT WILL RESULT IN PLUMMETING SNOW LEVELS. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL FALL TO NEAR 3500 FEET EARLY FRIDAY. EXPECT A COUPLE OF INCHES OF SNOW ABOVE THE 4000 FOOT LEVEL...WITH ONLY A DUSTING BELOW THAT LEVEL.
PEOPLE PLANNING TRAVEL IN THE PASSES ON FRIDAY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS.
THOSE PLANNING ON HIKING OR CAMPING IN THE OLYMPICS AND CASCADES ON FRIDAY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR CHILLY...WET WEATHER.
Mass and the Saftey Race may be on the damn side (shrug)

respectfully, F that noise, I've got some new sites IN SEATTLE to loop through. If the weather is really crap then a Lincoln park fireplace sounds pretty good.

dear GIS nerds: why not hit up the king county parks layer and see if there are any firepits we've missed?

Hey it's the last Thursday of the month, so isn't Cascade doing their traffic count along Stoneway from 4-6? Hitting it on the way to a pre-funk at the Pacific Inn Pub isn't the worst idea in the world.

It is tough to say, Tolt-McDonald and Dockton Park are the only one with a "Fire Pit" feature attribute. Some are fireplaces in picnic shelters though like theLincoln Park and so the data doesn't always tell the whole story. The closest picnic shelter in a KC park is in White Center or Finn Hill Park.
Dockton park is on Vashon island, we've never been there

Yep. I'll be out there helping Cascade count from 4:30-6:30 to give Hiller enough numerical rope to crucify SDOT and their 1000% increase traffic forecast model.

"'Fire Pit' feature attribute"? Are you a programmer or an RPG'er? :)

Apparently Cascade is short on volunteers to help with the count tonight.
If you could find a way to be out on Stone Way and 35th from 4-6:30 and help count cars, trucks, bikes, and peds, Cascade will buy you a beer.

Rather, but I am fond of the overshare; it imposes my will on the other party and asserts my superiority, like putting my snout over their's, just in this case: putting my crudeness on top of their crassness.

having absolutely no rain gear yet, and having just wrecked in the middle of a rain soaked Pine st. on Tuesday, if it's raining, I'll be sitting this one out. However, if there's even a hint that it won't I'll be there.
I second that. The day is beautious!
Shall it rian however, I will make sure to wear a tight white t-shirt and no bra...

really? Well shit that would be rad. At least until I could buy myself some wooden ones because I think they look super tits. Maybe I could pick them up when I bring your frigging bike back. Every night I tell myself I'm going to call you and bring her back, but I keep just passing out, and every morning I see her sitting there in my dining room and shed a little tear for the pain you must be feeling. Maybe I can swing her by after the ride tonight.
