Crossposted from the sticky thread.

We now have 1/4 page and fullpage flyers for the Fremont ride this Tuesday (5 days!) and we need people to distribute them:

Hand out small ones to people as they are going to/from work, particularly near the Fremont Bridge.

Post large ones on poles, walls, and elsewhere around town, especially near Fremont, the University District, Capitol Hill, and other areas with high bike populations.

Post large ones and hand out small ones at the UW, SPU, Seattle U, North Seattle and Seattle Central Community Colleges. Remember the last ride was during August, when a lot of students weren't around, so if we can get a lot of students to show up, we can make this one even larger than the last one.

Post large flyers in bike shops and leave a stack of small flyers for people to take with them.

Hand out small ones at Critical Mass (I think this is covered).

Links to both flyers are here:

Or just download them directly:

Thanks especially to Lucia and Laura. And Trevor's already printed out a fuckton, so see him if your printing resources are small.

Although I'm pretty sure I can't make this SLB ride (1700 is too early to leave work, ride to Bainbridge, catch the ferry and ride to Fremont), I am definitely going to be at the Safety First alleycat. Afterwords, who would go flyering with me? I'm looking for all the biking I can get this weekend. Binge riding, if you will.

In between reacclimating myself to PDT and Seattle weather, I'm also looking to put on some miles this weekend... though not terribly hard and/or fast, since I've been off my bike for nigh two weeks now.

Flyering is always a good time though. If you print them, I will pass them out.

I've got handbills the phuctonne and full page flyers for postering...rain be damned!

Come on fuckers, we've been working hard on this shit and we really need a decent turnout (not like the second ride).

Come see me for company sponsored paper products.

Sorry man, jury duty + sick = lazy me. I might have time to hit some of the cycle shops tomorrow morning with the flyers.

We should also think about sharing that Google Doc with the ToDo list so that more people can take the remaining tasks. (esp. hitting local Stone Way businesses)

Take U-bridge then, it would be good to go past the memorial anyway.

I've got 800 small flyers and 200 large ones. Laura wants some, but I'm sure not all, so who else wants some? There are lots of bike shops yet to hit.

I'll be home Sunday morning trying to make pasta sauce before the fruit flies set up a permanent colony in my kitchen. Later I'll be at the Blue Moon in the UDistrict.

If anyone wants to make more posters or staple up the large flyers, I have a nice staple gun and lots of 3/4" staples you can use. I'll be at the Sustainable Ballard Flexcar booth from 2-6pm. Drop by or call me at six five oh .83 nine four.

(My cell phone will be off between 10am and 11:30am - church.)

I put 20 of the 8.5x11 flyers and 5 posters up along the burke, dexter, and stone way on Friday night.

I've been flyering on the UW campus and the ave. I also gave 30 or so flyers to this hobo at gas works after critical mass - but this hobo was a different one, I think he had a bike.

After a late dinner tonight, I divested myself of a number of small flyers between the spokes of bikes parked at UW dorms. Here's a hint: for about half the bikes in the world, it's easy to slip a piece of paper between the spokes and the plastic doo-hickey that separates the cassette from the spokes. On the other half, well, do your best.

I got the bikes at the four main dorms on campus, and plan on hitting Terry/Lander at lunch tomorrow.

I then proceeded to divest myself of a number of large flyers up 20th Ave NE, and then a few more while I was waiting for a non-existent bus on 65th. Eventually, my staples ran out and I just hoofed it home.

Provided it isn't pouring (which would break down the poster board), I will be at the bottom of Dexter this afternoon with my signs from circa 4:30-6ish.

and if anyone wants to stand there with me, I have two posters. That's right, you too can stand on the corner and have traffic stare at you. Smile & wave!
