Seems like the line left by your wheels would make the lawn look like shit. In general, riding bikes on grass tends to leave big nasty grooves.

I thought that having big ol' lawns wasn't supposed to be environmental anymore anyway.

HOWEVER, I have always been intrigued by the idea of having some Green business, say, like biking hand-push lawnmowers all over town as a replacement to the traditional pickup & trailer loaded with Toros. It'd be sort of a stunt, but you could pander to the Seattle hippy crowd who might pick you over the regular company since you're Green. They'd enjoy telling their friends about it.

Another idea: engine-less sailing fishing. I'm SURE you could find some rich assholes or a snooty restaurant who would be willing to pay a premium to eat "sustainably"-caught fish.

There are plenty of houses with conspiciously-placed solar panels and crap so that they can have some Green street cred, so it seems like image has a lot to do with it. These are exactly the type of suckers who'd sign up for this shit. And it'd be a hell of a lot of fun spending my days biking around Seattle with a trailer mowing lawns actually.
