ouch.

I was good until the elysian. Then it crossed the line from funny and a little fucked up to drunk and stupid. And then I crashed four blocks from home.

drunk and stupid at the elysian continued all the way to fremont.
my stupid tire with an inch of tube poking out of the giant gash managed to make the ride all the way to nectar. they werent even checking tickets by the time we got there, everyone got in that showed up. highlight of nectar was getting pannier rack bicycle rides around the show by paul until security decided it was a bad idea.

great night!

I didn't know you had an inch of toob poking out! I carry an extra tire, you totally could have used it.

I don't remember how I got so drunk, at some point I took an extra lap down Broadway, then ....memory gap.... listened to a punk band at Galaway Arms.... memory gap..... woke up still hella drunk. I only started feeling my teeth an hour ago, half way through my first class.

Whew...I'm glad I'm not the only one who crashed lost memory and woke up drunk. Nice Ride. Although my right hip looks wide enough to birth a child today.

See you next week.

Thanks everyone for the most rousing happy birthday ever sung to me. The good thing about drinking too much alcohol is that when you fall it doesn't hurt much - I crashed right outside Nectar and I wasn't even on a bike.

Thanks for coming to the show. I had fun, I hope you did.

You all need to work on your heckling skills. I expected much worse.

Tsk tsk.

Holy fucking balls last night was awesome. It took me a little over an hour to get the ten or so blocks to where I was staying and twice I came out of a blackout face down in a garden with my bike on top of me.

Wow, sounds like I was one of the more sober ones. That's scary. I didn't fall, nor did I black out, and I don't have any memory gaps either. Always good.

good times, good times. One of the highlights: Discussing extremely nerdy math with Rob, Raindog, and Dan the Irishman. Quote of the night: "You can't *understand* eigenvectors, you have to *feel* them."

Have I mentioned how much I <3 .83?

That is true, she is hot and we ride our fixies around town, buying records and holding hands. She looks almost as good as I do in rolled up 501s.

Holla!

Hello All!

it's Dan, the new guy from Ireland! Cheers to all for the great welcome ride last night, that was great!

It's hard to believe any of us made it home alive after nectar, that was some session. Although I won't feel I'm part of the group until I've eaten some greasy gravel on the way home!

'Forward to the next ride!

Kat: best not use that method of solving eigenvalues I was telling you last night or you'll end up with a horribly inverted matrix. just find the determinant of |A-lambda*I| instead :)

Wait, you're saying I missed my one chance in life to use the phrase "I have proven your worst fears... WITH MATHS!" in a conversation with otherwise well adjusted, sociable people?

P.S, I wasn't drunk, but I got cold enough I got the "eat your ice cream too fast" headache, so I was definitely swerving confused down Alaskan Way like I was drunk. It was a great ride last night!

That explains why all my eigenvalues today came out all wrong. If only I'd known it was so much simpler...

Thanks all

Well, gee, I could have told ya that! Might want to set that determinant to 0 and solve for lambda, too...

Great ride all. I'm going back to aikido for the fall/winter/spring, but if more rides are like last night's, I just might be convinced to skip that more often. Either way, I get to watch people falling all over the place!

No need to set to zero, just feeeeeel it :)

(Seriously though, see terms and conditions for setting determinants to zero, always consult a physician before undergoing strenuous equation solving.)

Aikido eh? Good buzz, I had a swedish friend who did aikido too, did you pick it up on your travels?

Yeah, but you NEVER want to borrow his slide rule though.

No, if you put it in a cassette player it might play some music. You know, I had a TRS-80 which used cassettes as a storage media. I never successfully managed to save anything on a cassette, but I sure tried once or twice.

If anyone wants a trip down memory lane, I still have a partially working TRS-80 model 3 and a fully working TRS-80 model 100 (the laptop).

I'd be happy to donate the model 3 to a good home.

Sounds like it was a good night. I bailed somewhere on Rainier.

An old friend I haven't seen in 8 or 9 years called and was at crocodile for the trucks show. I couldn't miss the opportunity.

Bones pics are up on Kat's Flickr.

Also on Kat's flickr, Reasons Matthew Will Never Be President, #642: Complete inability to get a distinguished portrait for use on US currency. Exhibit A- Seven rocking the bones suit, and Matthew rocking the "holy cow I'm cold let's STFU&R".

Duders, what's up with you people? You can fill entire twelve month calendars with hott girl on bike action, but you can't get a single hot picture of me, with or without the bike?
