I'm going on a trip next week with my 4-year old, and would like to buy a portable DVD player to keep him occupied on the plane trip. Does anyone have any recommendations or disses?

Presumably trips like this would be the main use, used either by one kid or shared by two. Since we don't travel all that much, I'm looking to spend more like $100 than $200 here.

I bought the cheapest one they had at Walmart for like, $70 a couple years ago for a cross country trip. It worked great for the whole trip and I kept using it as my DVD player with it's RCA outs once I got to my desination. I think I still have it kicking around somewhere. Honestly, unless you intend to use it for a long long long time at extensive intervals, definitely don't pay more than $100 for one.

something like this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7679161

I too am interested in this thread. We don't have anyway to play movies on the boat. How am I supposed to watch this porn I bought?

Also, I don't belive in wallmart. Any other suggestions?

I just went to Best Buy this morning and bought the cheapest one they had with two headphone jacks. I was in a hurry.

This, as it turns out, was the most successful part of my errand-running this morning, as I made two trips to Aurora Plumbing, two trips to Stephenson Ace Hardware, and a trip down to two plumbing places on Stone Way, net result of which was two tiny pieces of rubber and two springs.

This was all by car, but to keep this vaguely on bike-topic, twice on Stone Way, I was like "Jesus, Christ, I wish there were a left turn lane on this damn street."

There is. It's the left lane. It also screws up traffic when you turn left, so don't do that.

Well they have the same cheap ones all over. Any big box store like Target or Best Buy or something will have them cheap. Or you can just order them off of Amazon.

I mean the center lane which allows one to easily turn left into Stone Way, which is what I was trying to do both times.
