A friend of mine saw a hit and run outside the war room last night. I don't have many details, here's what she said:
"Someone ran over a guy on a bicycle and then drove off. It was pretty ugly. It is a good thing that he was wearing a helmet. If he lived, that will have been the thing that saved his life."
it would have been after 11pm cause I was with her up till then in belltown. anyone know anything about this or who it might have been?

holy shit I was at the fucking War Room last night for Sing Sing. There were a bunch of Fast Friday kids there. Couldn't have been any of them though cuz they don't wear helmets.

You're absolutely right, such an occurence typically renders one's helmet unsafe.

I have on a bunch of occasions. I don't recommend it, but it's survivable.

Val and I talked about this. There is no way a bike helmet can hold up a truck. The helmet helped the fellow not get abrasions but HIS HEAD HELD UP THE TRUCK!
BtAH, you are the helmet expert, please explain.
Oh, and I hope the fellow is OK and I hope they catch the fucker that hit him. As you all know, my wife, Gypsie was hit by a hit and run driver. It is no fun at all!

Dude, a helmet was the reason I was able to get nailed by a car, and get up and walk to work.
What kind of horrible person do you have to be to hit someone and then run? Is there a story on it anywhere?

Or looked at differently, how horrible do you have to be to deserve a hit & run?
Carrot Top horrible?
Bush horrible?
Hitler horrible?
Satan horrible?
Derrick horrible?

Helmets are like condoms.
If you don't wear one you will get bicycle herpes.

Bicycle Valtrex keeps that recurring road rash mostly away, and you can retain your active lifestyle.
