J and I are on our way up from Portland and want to know where to meet you hagbags for breakfast, but this thread is disgustingly scattered like all the rest.

=P

We're about to drive for three hours with hangovers as sloppy and disgusting as a Dicks burger at 2am. Ew. Where do I get a Bloody Mary in that town?

206.718.6203

I hope we can find you guys.

That ride was awesome and the park bacon frenzy was even better.

Awesome ride. While I never became sufficiently drunk, I still was able to be happy... A turning point? Not quite, but fun none the less.

Playing bike swap was fun, I want a touring bike, whaaannn D.;

Okay so at least this time I decided to TRY to make it to this ride. Maybe next time, I'll actually make it. It takes a lot of doing for me to make it anywhere in the morning, especially on Sundays.

On the up side, my rear tire was fucked, so I bought a new one. Since they were out of the matching blue, I went with yellow to match my rad fenders. I might paint my rear fender blue now, since the front tire is still blue and that would look rad.

The fact that we ended up with two threads didn't make it any better. I'm still not sure why the real thread, not this preliminary planning thread, didn't get a sticky, but whatever.

It was a kick ass ride and plenty of people showed up. Maybe next time we can end up actually getting breakfast, although that might preclude Sketchy from drinking gravy from his plate like cereal milk.

Next up? A top shelf gin ride!

Ha! Is there more to this?

side note: what a kick ass video. "Beat Street" had this going on 2 years later.

Actually, no.

No knife fights. No elaborate dance routines. No kissing at the bar before facing one's death. No David Hiller to intervene and bring peace and respect between the Cascade gang and the Point83 gang. Definitely no Derrick arriving on a forklift with his posse. No sudden wakeups to the nightstand alarm clock. Well, actually, there was one of those. Then I realised that I had daylight savings time. Bonus.

I don't think that most of the people who rolled by were related to Cascade Bicycle Club. Many of the race teams ride by that park on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

As we crossed over the bridge back towards Seattle we passed a group that looked more like your typical Cascade riders.

It was a kick ass ride. I left early to get breakfast with my wife -- what happened to Lindas? It seemed like we were waiting at least 20 minutes before I left. Did you give into sketchy and go to the Elysian?

I met Christine at Cafe Racer on Roosevelt. Should have gone there, it was nearly empty and they have a full bar. It's a little tiny though, I think it would have been standing room only.

That ride was fucking awesome. Definitely worth getting out of bed at 7am on a sunday for.

Good to finally meet a bunch of you. I don't think I've started drinking that early since Idiotarod 2006, but bloody marys are way better than donkey dicks of PBR at 9am.

You all made quite an impression on Sara (who joined us outside Lindas). From what I can tell, the impression was positive, but I'll admit this might be a bit of a stretch. i can say with certainty that she was very entertained.

And I had a great time. Thanks to all.

Judging by the number of terrible things I've seen on the internet, I'm a pretty good judge of what's bad and what's awful. MJ videos are neither, though often entertaining.

Oh my god yes Aviation is delicious. Aviation, Hendrick's, Tanq 10 (for G and Ts) and whichever one was the delicious favorite of the esteemed Mr Churchill

formal dress encouraged

Sapphire might not be "top shelf" but it makes a compelling G&T.

T-10 is my preferred martini spirit.

Aviation is good, not sure if it is worth the price-point good, but it is definitely good.

Hendricks comes in a weird little booze-purse, and is deeeeelicious (I drink it straight, or in gimlets).

A gin ride sounds amazing, but tis the season for HOT TODDIES!!!

Whiskey (or brandy), hot water, lemon, honey...what's not to love?

Hendricks, Cascade Mountain Gin, and Miller's are my current favorites, followed closely by plymouth.

However, those are drinks better reserved for warm summer days, when we can make a pitcher of G+T in a water bottle and go for a lazy ride.

Now, we should be drinking hot whisky and cold aquavit.

oh man, fucking frosty cold aquavit also sounds delicious.

i know my love of gin in the winter borders on the blasphemous but god damn it, the thought of sipping a glass of hendrick's, neat, garnished with a wafer-thin cucumber slice, frigid wind assailing me, makes me get all... excited

bloody marys! doughnuts! socks! stumptown coffee! coffee cups in water bottle holders! celery! talkin some about science ! bacon! (fake for some of us and even Sketchy) great pumpin ale!

I loved this ride and vote for more. I had one hour after the Elysian to ride home, sober up (a little), take a nap, shower, and pack before flying to Idaho for work. I think I was still drunk on bloody marys on the plane. it was great (albeit a little painful).

also, great pictures!

I heard votes for making this a monthly thing. First Sunday Breakfast Ride, 7:30 meetup at Top Pot downtown. Every month. Yes!

Next time we might even have the forethought to make reservations for a shitton of people so we have a prayer of making it in somewhere that serves breakfast.
