I'm hoping that someone can look at my drivetrain and tell me once and for all whether i'm a bad shifter or if there's actually something wrong with it. I need help.

The wheels need truing and there is a strange noise coming from the bottom bracket area of my bike ... time for bike detective work.

Next Monday the 22nd?

Will bring beer! Perhaps a key lime pie, provided I make two ... I owe Foo one.

I have a few projects too, and can help out.

If the timing doesn't work for Chris (or he wants to let someone else host) then I can host too.

Monday probably works. Sunday afternoons would be good too.

Mondays or Sunday afternoons work for me. I can't believe we passed up a chance to drink Alex's beer last time. I still want to make some mud flaps - Chris you mentioned a rubber dumpster, any luck with that? Where?

I need help getting my cranks off - I'm either weak, the bolts are over torqued, or I don't know what I'm doing. Probably a bit of all three. I want to inspect my BB, and should probably inspect the hubs on the cross bike as well. Sunday afternoon could work for me if it is after CX.

Monday, Monday!

i'll bring some spare tools and reflective tape for those who are still-unfendered.

Well, I'm going to say Monday the 22nd sounds agreeable to most. Alex, are you open to that?

Nygaard, as much as I adore you... Alex whenever the words 'wrench party' are spoken your name seems to follow and I believe I've yet to even meet you.

So can we call the date set?!

Hawley. QBP is a stickler for having a "store front" and I haven't started chasing that yet. Something to do on Thursday I guess...

Does the Dutch Bike Co. stock parts, like fenders and shit or do I need to scrounge around the Recylced free pile for some fenders?

We can get them, but we don't have any in stock at the moment. Mostly due to all our stock bikes having fenders already...

two basic questions.

1) still happening?

2) is the powdercoat stuff back and will it be at the DBC tonight?

Trying to decide if I'm going and what projects to bring.

I'm on call tonight, which means I need to roll in my car in case, well... in case I get called.

Does anyone need assistance taking anything to the DBC? You might need to ride it back if I'm driving it there.

Have fun everyone.

Mmm.. cheez-its.

Thanks Nygaard for hosting and providing mechanical expertise. The brakes work so much better now, and I understand why, so I can adjust them myself in the future.

Now time for some real food.

my drive drain is no longer totally fucked. it's still a bit wonky in certain gears, but I think that has something to do with the indexing and not my bent hanger.

thanks also, chris, for confirming what I thought: the canti posts are off center, and that's why my forks sucks so much balls.

and thanks to Kat, for confirming my suspicion that there would be a heated philosophical argument tonight. I needed that.

I'd also like to say thanks for Caleb and Lauren for coming on down last night, it was a pleasure to meet both of you at last and hopefully we'll be seeing you out on rides.

Also thanks Chris for hosting and helping out with all the dunderheaded mechanical issues we had.

I think that the probability of this occurring increases to 1 as the distance between you and me decreases.
