I love how about half of the predictions are spot on (ie: bike 50 years from now won't change much) and the other half are these crazy, zany, Jetson-esque predictions. My favorite over the top prediction was "Standardization of nuts and bolts with a minimum of sizes".

If there was anything keeping me from restoring a French bike from the frame up it would be tracking down the correctly sized parts, especially with regards to theads.
Any new bike you by now can be pretty well serviced/adjusted with a set of metric allen keys. Save for track nuts, box end wrenches are needed much less on new bikes.
