It doesn't work for me either. I'm assuming the site has something to do with pork rinds or birth control.

Like Islands. Man, those things tap for Counterspell. DCI should ban them.
But the link works, so I have no idea what the Internet noobs are talking about. Hell, I can't even get to YouTube at work.

HA! Pork rindz, perhaps?
And thank you to Lee for confirming that I am not a total web idiot (just partial, especially regarding gchat).

Dealer minimum used to be 25 pairs of tires. Bad tread designs. Poor rubber durability. Pattern wears off quickly. Too many tread choices and colors. Company went bankrupt. New investors. Made tires reflective. QBP picked them up. 2 models, x 4 tread patters/sizes.
I can special order them for you $34.99 each.
But screw that, just get some good 'ol Schwalbe Tires. Schwalbe is the brand to beat!
The newest favorite tire from them is the Fat Frank.
Available in black and cream!

I saw them at Interbike. Cool colors, reflective, felt like they were made of plastic, not rubber. I wouldn't want to ride them:
1. in the wet
2. when i needed to slow down
3. around a corner of any sort

Yes, but call first. We try to keep them in stock, but they are pretty popular. Our most popular commuter tire ever.

what does the $40 fat frank offer me over the $25 kenda k-rad? other than the option to get it in cream and a heavier tire with a lower rated psi?
Better rubber durability, better casing, refective sidewalls, and it can be run at 80psi if you like, but it rides like 80 at 40 psi. The casing is amazing, in this case the marketing is correct. Oh, and a kevlar belt and smoother tread for better traction wet or dry. And.....The Big Apple (exactly the same tire as the Fat Frank, except for tread pattern) is bigger than the same size K-Rad. That is what is what. We should weigh them both next time you are in. The Fat Frank/Big Apple is not a heavy tire. Don't you have a pair of BAs anyway?

i do have a pair of big apples, but in 622! i'm always on the lookout for a different/better 700x50-60 "road" tire.

So, I have a marathon plus on the back, and a Panaracer TSERV on the front of my bike. I feel the traction on the TSERV is better, but that's hardly a scientific measurement.
I picked up a pair of Marathon Supremes on some PerNashGoBar-esque online fire sale which I'm keen on trying out.
Still though, even though I figured the Sw33tSk1nZZZZZZ looked like shite tires when I first laid eyes on them and are uglier than sin, I still really want a pair of 'em.
That's probably because I'm a terrible person.
But if that's the price I have to pay to get hypno wheels, I guess that's just that.
