Bryce's family is coming out to ride with us on the 3rd and we need some wheels for them.
First, the parents are not cyclists and will need to ride on the back of tandems for the ride. Kalen has already generously offered the back of his ride. We need one more tandem. Both parents are about 5'5" and normal build.
We also need a pair of loaner bikes for Bryce's younger brother and sister Tyler and Austyn. Austyn is also about 5'5" but Tyler is an anamalous 6'4". Both are cyclists and not picky about the exact type of ride they have.
Please let me know if you've got an extra set of wheel you're willing to loan for this. (I don't know what sort of clipless Tyler and Austyn ride, if any, so best to get open platform if possible)

I think I posted this before, but I have two mountain bikes available. If someone can tell me the proper way to measure them I'll let you know what size they are.

your hard work on trying to get this off the ground is appreciated, but do we need 20 threads about it?

I have a perfectly functional Giant Cypress, but it's a medium sized frame (I don't know what real measurements Giant's tall-grande-venti thing equates to), which I don't think fits either someone who is 5'5" or 6'4". It's got the low end SPD pedals on it, but I've been meaning to take those off and put the platforms back on.
If it would be of any help for the ride, I'd be happy to loan it.

I know what fits me but beyond that, I'm pretty clueless about bike sizes. Anyone that knows want to pitch in here?
zanimal:
I'll take you up on that.

I have tandems, road bikes cruisers and Mountain bikes in a variety of sizes. I'm probably not the most convenient person to get a bike from, but if you come up short I've got you covered.

Thanks Joby, I appreciate it. If I don't hear back from anyone on a tandem in the next day or two, I might take you up on that.
Also, we will need an additional tandem captain. Would you be up to that as well?
I'm on my way to my LBS on Bainbridge right now for a postrace repair order. They rent bikes, including tandems IIRC. I would gladly rent it if they want payment; there is a chance that all they'll want is my assurance it comes back in one piece. I'll ask.
Also, I have a cross bike I can loan out. It has super friendly gearing for hills or offpave/pike place cobble sections and an upright comfy position. I'll smack a forgiving set of wheels, platform pedals and a pair of 700 by 33 road tyres on it if a loaner is needed. Bonus: I can shoulder it home while riding the tandem.
Update: they have one tandem, and it's out for the weekend (one of us, maybe?). They said REI rents out tandems. Any other Co-op members who could get over to the Eastlake store and signup for a rental if Joby can't come through?

I can supply a tandem, and I think I can captain, too.

The problem with having 432789473892 threads about this is that they all have different info. I don't know when the ride is, so I don't know if I can provide a tandem.
I guess I'll go with no.

Thank you Prof, I'll take you up on that!
Matthew and Joby:
Thanks, both of you - I think we're covered for tandems but I'll let you guys know if things fall through.
Alex:
Dude, look at the sticky! It's Nov 3rd. I'm breaking the threads up so we can keep the topics focussed and avoid the whole 23 page meandering gerrymander threads we kept getting that no one bothers reading.
I still need a confirmed bike for Austyn but 5'5" is a common enough size that I'm sure we can rustle something up by the ride.
