Apropos of nothing, I just won this silly thing:

2500 in cash and prizes. I hear I'm about to get a lot of things I already have, like UW Library cards and admission to the Burke Museum.

This was clue #8 of 10. I saw the last two clues, and this was the literally the last one that did not have the address of the location included. So if it wasn't found today, it was going to be found tomorrow. Plus, after talking to the people who wrote the clues, it turns out I was wrong about what I thought was right. A lot of luck was involved.

There were two women wandering up toward the place I found it who would have gotten it a minute later if I hadn't found it first (under a park bench in Seacrest Park).

A few people asked what I won, but I didn't find out until last night at a party at SAM. Here's the rundown:

The medallion itself.
The party at SAM (followed by a guided tour of the "Japan Envisions the West" exhibit, led by the curator).
$1600
Japan Envisions the West official exhibit book (big coffee table tome)
The Fountain and the Mountain, another coffee table book, this one about UW.
A large UW 'tapestry' (which we'll use as a throw blanket).
A U bookstore gift card (don't know the value).
4 Tickets to the Henry.
5 (?) Tickets to the Burke.
4 VIP passes to SAM (don't know what 'VIP' means; looks like you just get into the museum).
Tickets for two to 3 UW World Series events.
Some chocolates.
A UW thermos/mug.
A bunch of UW sports tickets, many of which already expired or were supposed to be redeemed a month ago.
