Saw a bunch of non .83 folks in warm cars while I was out enjoying a ride in the rain. Suckers.

I saw Doug bombing down Snoqualmie Parkway a couple weeks ago. The wrong way, on the sidewalk.

FTFY
FACT: the Metro 215 Goes direct from Seattle to teh woods and vise versa.
Also, that is a rippin' multiuse trail you saw me on. It has a chicane in the middle of that downhill. Obvious hazards are baleful stares of bored housewives wielding toy dogs.

I saw Jeff getting a ticket from an undercover cop this morning on Fremont Ave just north of 39th st. I felt giving the traditional greeting and salute would've been inappropriate so I withheld. Thanks for taking the fall for the rest of us who went blazing by in that school zone past you

about an hour ago, I think I saw MadamImAdam and a couple others riding north on Rainier Ave, while I was driving south... didn't have time to roll down the window to yell, but gave three short honks of the horn to say wassup :)

Was riding south on Fremont between 50th and 46th around 9:30 tonight, and could have sworn I passed Kevin (lwc) and one other heading north. Faintly heard "Come drink with us!" Hollered back, but no response, so I kept rolling down the hill. I was also pretty stoned and cold, so who the hell knows.

Was one of you playing bike polo last night at Cal Anderson? I ride by those guys all the time but this time someone hollered a friendly hello.

I saw Rogelio walking up Seneca street. Did a full-arm wave trough the window but was 100% unsuccessful in grabbing his attention.

Also aren't we supposed to be screaming "get a car hippie!" regardless of present company like clients/bosses/children/grandmothers?

I saw Ray on Cap Hill one morning. Me on a bike, him in a car and a dress shirt. He pulled alongside and politely nodded and waved. I gave him a WTF look. After a moment of trading confused glances I realized it was him. Awkwardness could have been avoided had he just screamed at me per the TOS.

I was just at the Cinerama (ERMAGERD CATCHING FIRE) & I saw all y'all roll by on 4th. Too busy stuffing my face with chocolate popcorn to manage a proper salutation. Hope the ride was even more action-packed than the Quarter Quell haha like that's possible! Ride safe nerds!

Maybe that's why I saw Archie rolling North on 1st Ave at Pike around 7:10 last night.

I saw Joby in the lift line at Stevens today. Unsure of proper salutation, I decided to hop on the chair with him and make things awkward.

The TOS has clearly defined rules surrounding salutations.

I think I saw Kara on the Burke-Gilman trail in Wallyworld on my way home tonight. It was hard to tell exactly who it was with her flashing light aimed straight at my retinas.

Though it's possible you saw me on the Burke, I wouldn't have been flashing you (too cold, keeping the clothes on!). But really, I keep my front light on solid when I'm on the trail, so blame those retina problems on something else, like your parents.

On Saturday around 6pm I saw Rob (axel?) and a few others ride through the crosswalk at the Boren/Jackson/Rainier intersection so I yelled the customary greeting from my car.
They were all looking back up the hill with concerned looks, like they were waiting for someone. I hope all was ok.

heard ya loud and clear! we were all horribly lost during the Shortest Day/Longest Night Get Dowwn Downhill alleycat that the bros at Back Alley Bike Repair put together.
Andre, Dada, and I all ended up bailing after we couldn't figure out the route on SW Jackson. the rain had washed away several of the course markings and visibility was pretty crappy atmo. that would be a fun event to do again if we had more daylight!

Actually, now that more and more of Point83 is...
- getting old
- becoming respectable
- driving their car to the event
... is the TOS defined greeting really appropriate in all settings? I mean, hippy has a car now. What if I want to pull alongside, roll down my window and shout something at the other member while we wait for the light to turn green? I recommend the TOS Committee immediately convene and propose alternate greetings to be used when the saluted member is already in a car.

Matthew, see Rule 20.
In answer to your question, it's more appropriate now than ever.
The council has ruled.

Better late than never but… last Tuesday I saw bearded Kevin on Brooklyn near Campus Pkwy. I tried to make some kind of words come out of my mouth, but the combination of day drinking the previous day and not consuming coffee before riding to work made words hard. So... HI KEVIN!! GET A CAR, HIPPY!
