Now I need to go and get my bifters moved back into place as I don't know how to untape and retape bars yet.

You don't have to move the tape at all. You can just wrestle it back, or loosen the bolt in the hood, reposition and retighten.

STI Note the bottom left.

Or you can call me tonight and I can help you out. I live in Freemont by the Troll and I like beer.

Thanks. Bifters are now adjusted back into their proper erect and patriotic positions. Good to know that's so absurdly easy, for the next time I wipe out in the rain.

Holy hell.

Did we illegally enter a rail yard and climb a series freight trains?
Did we pick a fight with a road-rager from west verginia, so that 6 cop cars came to settle things?
Did multiple people break bones?

That ride was tame.

You all should grow some testicles or go ride with cascade.

DITTO (sums up my longwinded rant)

...and i'll add that all the post ride whining is weak. yall sound like kindergarteners that missed their nappy-time.

Let us all invest in better lights and be a little bit more fastidious about personal distance and road conditions when we're riding in large groups. And let us count our blessings that all those wipe outs were so effing minor.

Stay safe, kids. And try, TRY to keep the rubber side DOWN.

Hear hear. And I still say it was a fun ride.

Better lights would be a good thing for people to have. You don't need to have dual Dinotte 600Ls or anything, but $50 will get you a decent disposable battery powered light that will let you see as well as be seen. It was riding with this group that got me to go and spend $200 on a good rechargeable battery headlight; that first 1am trip back along the Burke to Ballard by myself got me saying "shit, I need a better light." Most of the places that we ride have enough ambient light that you don't need a light, but there are places, like that stretch of MLK, where having one reduces the chance flats/mechanicals/biologicals.

I wasn't there, and this was my feeling as well. Hell, I personally fell three times on the July 5th ride (including twice by myself on Alaskian where Molly found me still laid out) and I still think it was a tame ride.

Although the "coldest night" ride where Denny dislocated his shoulder, Leah and Saden both brole collar bones, Ben nearly went in to the water cross the Ballard bridge and I don't even remember crossing the Ballard bridge was an epic ride (even thought we didn't really ride very far).
