Nygaard isn't kidding. And get the calling card of your favorite AA sponsor, cause it's on.

Or you can stick with me. I guarantee you'll not have any problems with the fire water, but you'll also lead a boring life full of high mileage rides.

Your call.

I filled out the eHarmony questionaire, and they told me I was unmatchable because I have an unhealthy fixation on work and training. They also said I should be comfortable with who I am and not try to pretend that I'd rather have intimate time than hill intervals in order to attract women. Also, apparently women find measuring heart rate and wattage during sex is a turn off.

So then I put an advertisement on cyclingsingles.com ('cos I'm never one to take advice anyways, especially not from a creepy "Doctor") saying that Monday to Friday all I think about is series races on Sunday and that I wanted a tandem cyclocross partner. I only got one reply and they said that even for a 'crosser I was crazy. But I turned down their request to flirt because they're Cat 4 and I think it was a dude anyhow because the women's field races Cat 3/4 combined.

Lately, I have an ad on Lustlab since Erwin Vervecken has said that he likes cyclocross since it's anaerobic torture and Sven Nye has said his World Cup domination has basically been because he can hurt more than his competiton. So I see the words torture, domination and hurt and what's the first thing I think? Hey, if cyclocross is all about that kind of stuff, all the hot cyclocross women must be in the S&M community, right?

I'll let you guys know how this turns out.

i'm going to do both as well, though I should have learned from last time that getting blind drunk the night before makes it hard to get up. unless you have Derrick calling you over and over and over again...

Riding a bike is good for hangovers. It's just so fucking hard getting started.

Yeah breakfast ride!! I'm in!
If I can figure out a good hot toddy, I'll bring/pickup supplies for that. I have to leave the ride at some point for a separate Ballard breakfast engagement that starts at 11:00, but I'm in for everything up until then.

We have very complicated requirements before someone can ride with us:

1) Show up on a Tuesday or Thursday Ride, on a bike.
2) Don't whine too much.

I'll be there with a thermos full of steamy morning love. If Snocrappy opens on Saturday I'll likely be exhausted, but I'll be there.

1. No. And don't try to slip any Lobby Lud references by me. I used to live in Exeter, and we'd have the real Lobby Luds from time to time.

2. Who the heck is Fabrizio Mazzoleni?

3. Count me in for Sunday. Actually I hope it snows. The only thing better would be snow+mud+barriers.
I'm leaving my knobbies on because I'm optomistic!

4. Speaking of Exeter, I got a package from a public schoolmate. I'll bring some real tea if someone brings a tea kettle that can go over a fire (mine plugs into an outlet).

Excellent, I was afraid noone would get that. Even better that the intended recipient understood me.

A long time poster to the USENET rec.bicycles hierarchy and a man who has won many a Tour De Reves.

For a more in depth coverage by the President of his fan club: Yes, Gary, There is a Fabrizio.

But, the question we all really want you to answer is, will you have some McVities Biscuits to share?

Unless something unexpected happens, I expect to be there; I've got the 12 volt system working for the vaporizer, too.

Modification to my earlier reply: We'll be there, unless it's still slushy and shitty outside. As long as I can make it down the hill safely, I'll be in attendance.

Question: just how bad are the seattle roads right now?

Are they A) ride the portland with fenders and disc brakes for water everywhere, B) ride the CX bike with CX tyres but cantibrakes and no fenders because the roads are slushy, snowy and/or icy?

Or are they C) we're all riding MTB tomorrow, so bring mine too? I hope not, because mountain bikes are chunky and not agile or fun to ride in traffic.

Hear hear. The snow changed to rain a few hours ago here in Ballard, and the rooftops around my apartment are white-stuff-free, but if it's snowing in the morning again I may sit this one out. Bacon and coffee and donuts are awesome, but my snow/slush riding skills are weak (as in, I've never done it).

But it's supposed be warmer and mostly rainy tomorrow, so I'll probably be there.
