john,
the town of Concrete called...they want their crack stash back.
seriously though, my schedule is wacked for most all weeknight riding. Between my corporate whoring and parental/spousal duties i think i have 10 minutes available sometime in mid 2010.

i suggest that we reschedule this...cause it looks like a KILLER route and I bet more folks would join if...i dunno...PLAN BETTER.
However, i'm out as I have both boys and no stupervision other than myself.
If this does go down, i'd still like to do it another time, so get the route ironed out for a version 2.0.
Yes, just what we need. MORE PLANNING! I, for one, welcome our non-planning overlords. I'll see whoever tomorrow in the morning for some chilly riding.

word. i'll be at vivace at 8:15 to enjoy a coffee and cupcake, and then let 80 miles of unplanned shenanigans ensue.
planning is for squares.

This should be fun. Will it be necessary to bring a lot of food for the day, or are we stopping somewhere on the way?

Ahh it feels so good to be home. Jessica and i split off from the hardcore group at Snoqualmie falls at 4pm. They wanted to stick to the PLAN and keep heading east. We wanted the day of riding to be over so we jammed back to redmond and caught a bus. all and all the ride was really fun. I wish we had more daylight so we could have finished as a group.

No shit it feels good to be home.
When I woke up this morning with serious night sweats I chalked it up to excitement. When I smoked a cigarette this morning and it hurt I chalked it up to smoking too much. Same with the first hill. By the third hill (still in Seattle) and I couldn't breathe or keep up I knew something was wrong.
The hardcore fuckers? I stuck it out 52 miles before my lungs stopped working and I had to call for a pick up in Snoqualmie. Here's the route as far as I made it. Cool stuff, I've never turned on the elevation dohickey before:
Hey boys, how did the rest of the ride go? Were you able to make it to the Preston trail easily, or was it havoc?
So needless to say I'm pretty sick. I'm just really hoping I didn't give myself pneumonia riding so far all sweaty sick and cold. We'll see as the week goes on.
THANK YOU so much to all who came out to the ride, and those who showed up to say hello in the morning!
Final count:
Zuvembi til Sandpoint
PJ Diddy
Jessica til Snoqualmie falls
Me til Snoqualmie Parkway
Kalen
Sean
Chris
Brandon, FOR THE WIN!
Nice to meet you Brandon & Sean, hope to see you again soon when I'm not all sick and exhausted!

So is everyone who made it home after the full ride dead? Come on you lazy bitches, I want horror stories, pictures and hair samples.

There was a good amount of picture taking on Sean's part and I got some shots from about every one of our stops. Will try to have them up tomorrow!
Not many horror stories. A wrong turn here and here that worked out fine. My horror story is probably about it. Not being able to finish a ride is pretty disappointing.
It was gorgeous though. ABSOLUTELY doing it again. Not sick, next time.
