Dr. Hillbilly? argh.
Ben, does Laura have snow shoes too? I will take good care of them if she would like to loan them....
I want to go, but have to catch a flight to San Diego at 5 on Sunday, so gotta see what my options are for DEFINITELY getting to the airport from Sketchville camp midafternoon on Sunday.
PLUS no tent and only a 30 degree bag. I do have a car. no chains.

no, she doesn't have snowshoes (for some godawful reason).
she does have a great sleeping bag that you could probably bum.
but you'd have to ask her.

Megan will likely be able to swap cars with her dad and get his Explorer. I'll update after she gets a chance to ask him.

you bitch about not enough planning, until we get out there and some dumb kid forgets their snowshoes or someone has to ride on a lap due to lack of vehicular transport.
This isn't the best possible process to plan a large-group trip, but it'll do.

I'd turn on my sarcasm filter, but I'm afraid the Internet would then turn into a collection of cute kitty pictures.

I'm not sure any more about the details, this post is long enough to be viewable from outer space...
but I vaguely remember taking up Vaticdart's offer for a carpool seat.
me 'n the board, sno shoes now, I think I'll leave the didge behind in favor of pound cake and an extra bottle of something to soak it in.
if that's not the case, then I need a piece of rope to tie to someone's hitch...

Your not going anyway, what the fuck should you care.
What ever. Holly fist fuck it's next weekend. Here is the deal, I'm leaving fri to go down there. To set up camp and the warming tent, yep, warming tent. This means the everyone else that is going is going to have to have some sort of leaving/meeting plan for Sat. morning. AHHHH wageemaya in the international district. I know it is spelled wrong but you all know were the fuck that is. Unless someone has a better plan DERRICK. You should all think about leaving around 8:00AM sat. This should put you at the park entrance at about 10:30 were I'll meet all of you. From there we will regester and get on our way. Remember Phones won't work there, but if any of you have Talkabouts bring them. Start reserving snow shoes and misc. shit at REI feATHERED FRIENDS AND 2ND ASSENT. IF YOU GO TO FEATHERED TELL THEM SKETCHY SENT YA, it may help.
AND fucking call if there is anything else. It sericioulsy took me 30min. to type this shit.
206-412-0920 P.s see you fuckers tonight

meet up at wajimaya parking lot at 730ish international district. sounds good. leaving at 8am.
i will have an extra spot in the car, but whoever comes with me has to leave with me by noon sunday. have to get the hillbilly doctor to the airport at 330. giving myself plenty of time in case of snow problems.
we can caravan up there easy enough. i know the way like the back of my hand.. im planning on stopping for lunch in eatonville on the way up at aaron's ark. gas and grocery store all right there within half a block of each other at the only 4 way blinking light in town.

Holy shit, what a week at work. I've barely been on the forums all week.
Here's the deal: no Christina and no Christina's bf, that means Susan and I have TWO seats for you fat, carless (or 4wd-less) mistards. Claim them now.
We have all the gear we need or will be acquiring it shortly so we're basically set.
Sketchy, I haven't had a chance to call you, but I will be doing so shortly.
Like I said, holy shit, that was one long week. Now I'm going to go and swallow a mountainful of cold air while skiing faster than is safe to do.

At this point the weather man doesn't think we will die.
I made a shit ton of snow stakes for your tents so leave skinny ones that came with your tents home.
Everyone will need snowshoes, get them.

ah fuck me in the poopy!
Looks like I will be going down with everyone one on Sat. morning.
I'm going to change the meeting location to FRED MEYER IN BALLARD.
Here is why, they have things like warm gloves/mittens, hats, and boots. I don't want to get there and find out that someone is going to try and do this in running shoes or forgot their fucking hat, I may be doing a gear check before we even leave the parking lot. It's simple, if ya don't have the proper shit, ya don't go. When I did the Enchantments with some of you, everything went off without a hitch. Even when the storm rolled in, things went well.

This trip is sounding like less fun every time i read about it
Is it feasible to hike in and goof about and then get the fuck out on saturday afternoon? That's what I'm talking about.
I might go to Sundance though. If i do that i won't be fucking about on snowshoes.
I'm out, it turns out I'm actually presenting at the company meeting Saturday.
Have fun, and don't eat the yellow snow.

Megan is out due to lack of foot-warming campfire but I'm still in. I'll need a ride up, but I'll be meeting y'all at the Fred Meyers.
I need to reserve some snowshoes at REI still, as well.

Well, I'm still in. Yesterday I put some money down on snow shoes for the weekend and picked up some gaiters from a friend. A few more odds and ends, and I'm ready to go freeze my ass off in the snow!
PS. I can't wait for this thread to go away.

Tomorrow I get paid and will be reserving a 4 season tent somewhere, hopefully. That and reserving a good jacket from Feathered Friends. Otherwise I should be pretty much set.
balaenoptera reserved a seat with Susan and I, and as he will be bringing a snowboard, I think we'll be pretty much full with three people and gear.
Let's hope we don't die with the system rolling in this weekend!

WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Only a pinch of snow for over a week,
Has allowed sun and settling the snowpack to tweak.
But while the hazard’s diminished...

I've got two more spots in my car for people that just want to hike in and then get the fuck out in the afternoon on Saturday.
I figure we'll meet at the Fred Meyer at more like 7:45 since we're not subject to Sketchy's Gear Review and Anal Integrity Screening.
So far it's Me, Amanda and Leopold of Wallingfordshire.

Apologies for that. The offended post has been properly censored. I know Sketchy wouldn't take us someplace at all dangerous, but then I forgot that not everyone possibly coming has that kind of faith in the Lord and Master.
