whoever wrote that article repeatedly refers to their BMX bikes as Motocross bikes.

NYTimes isn't exactly staffed with bike-nerds. Just be glad they know the difference between bike and scooter, or their ass and a hole in the ground.

Fair enough. I like they they repeatedly mention how they fund their hobby by "installing car stereos and doing other such handiwork"

Seriously considering experiementing with a bass tube and some motorcycle speakers for my cargo bike. Any other tinkers tempted out there?
