Okay, so it's official enough to rant online about it. We're getting the hookup from New Belgium Ales for the next year, or until we so thoroughly embarass ourselves & NBB that my neighbor disowns us.

Two cases a month.

On the day that is democratically agreed upon (see poll) that .83 comes to West Seattle, we all get free beer out of my garage. I'm not hauling it downtown, but I'm willing to work out a caravan situation if consensus says so.

Beer supply begins in January although I should be able to get a few sixers between now and then for a Thursday this month, plan accordingly.

yeah, my upstairs neighbor is the regional sales manager (she sells to the distributors) and loves the idea of a drunken surly bike gang. That, and she's the boss so she can do what she likes. This nearly happened this summer but there was a bit of flaking out with all parties involved.

I offered for us to put on a race (series?) or help with a fun-ride for their summer festival, we'll find out more later. I can easilly put aside a sixer for the lake-lap.

As long as it's not Fat Tire. That shit is fucking nasty. I'd rather drink water.

Hmmm... a beer sponsorship is grounds for a presidential pardon of that $75 debt ... just throwin' it out there.

Agreed. A lot of the other New Belgian stuff is really good though. 2 below (this years winter beer) is really nice.

trippel used to be my standard on-hand beer- if there was none in the fridge, it's time to go to the store.

then they weakened and shittified it :(

Really, I'd like word to get back to the brewery that fat tire is gross so that they can fix the problem. I recall liking it a long time ago, but I don't know if that's because I had a different palate, or if the flavor has changed.

I remember when they changed the recipie, and I'll mention it to Erin, our contact. You might try contacting the brewery through their website, but don't mention our association, just that you don't like their new blend.

Sadly, I must agree with the fat tire=ass contingent. I used to love that stuff. Now I can't stand it. Why'd they have to mess with a good thing?

Hi Dennis, Thanks for the email! Unfortunately, as you probably noticed, Biere de Mars didn't make an appearance this year. It certainly wasn't due to a decline in demand! We at the brewery love it, and it seems everyone else does too! We are not producing Biere de Mars because as it has always been one our most challenging beers to produce, a couple of years back we had some issues with the consistency and quality of it. We decided that if want to release Biere de Mars again, we need to better figure out how to brew it so that it has the same great yeasty, clove filled, lemon verbena flavor every time you drink it. It is very important to us that we provide a quality experience in every sip. Sorry to disappoint you, thanks for again for writing. Cheers, Erin W.
