For those who can't be up on Sunday before 10am, this ride is fully catered to you, lazy assholes. Also, the weather looks like it's going to be pretty darn nice.

The Ultimate Manifesto:
10-10:30: meet at the Belltown Top Pot for coffee and tasty, greasy pastries to help encourage P83 obesity (Derrick...) Also, make sure to wear jingle bells and keep your eyes peeled for joggers, as they can get a little squirrely.
10:45-ish: Stop at QFC before riding to Carkeek Park. Build bonfire to cook sausages (and veggie sausages) on sticks. Consume copious amounts of Bloody Marys and Mimosas.
Noon-ish: Ride to Seward Park to burn off sausage, only to consume delicious bacon (and SmartBacon for those who are smart and rad) and hashbrowns. Drink more Bloody Marys or just move straight onto whiskey if you have any hair on your balls.
Afternoon-ish: Roxys in Fremont for real food..

This is the plan and we will stick to it.
Oh yeah, Derrick told me to mention: go on this ride or die!!

Assume you mean the downtown Top Pot? Be aware that the Jingle Bell Run is the same day. It's supposedly winding down at 10am, and Top Pot is a few blocks outside the course, but you're liable to run into a few problems if you try to come from the south or down Capitol Hill on Pike or Pine.

Also, a few hundred of us will be doing this. (Hey, Evan!) We start at 10am, so we might see the bike gang, depending on our route.

I've registered a team of 4, but I've already had 3 people bail out on me. It will be me and at least one other dude.

<edit>by the way all 3 confirmed bail-outs have been women, so I'm really worrying about my social skills with women right now</edit>

David barely made it home tonight, but his drunken plea to go on this ride ensures that he will be there, even if I have to set his bed on fire like Farrah Fawcett.

a five year old ankle injury has my right ankle wrapped up and trying to abide by doctor's orders to not crank for a few days.

This ride sounds awesome. Way better than the breakfast ride I bothered to show up for last weekend.

Adding insult to injury, I managed to ironically lose my campstove last weekend on the aborted ride. Go me.

Why does the weather hate Point83 breakfast rides?

Wish I could join you, but I honestly need to rest after Mt. Baker yesterday. Plus my current bicycling gloves suck in snow.

Enjoy the snow, breakfast and donuts. I will see you unfaithful noggin mushers on Tuesday, as it has been way too long since I've been out on a normal ride (stupid life, interfering with bike riding and beer).

thank you for eating my sausage.

The carkeek trails are way sketchier in the daylight when I'm sober, because I can see where I'm going and I'm not full of artificial courage.

yeah, seeing that ball in Sketchy's mouth was truly disgusting. Thankfully there was alcohol to blur the memory of it.

wow fucking wow. 12 hour brunch, gretchy was out last night, I spent about $100 yesterday, cooked lots of hash browns,
played fetch with pablo the puppy, ate like a king, drank like a fish, stayed up too fucking late, lost my gloves, rode my bike, finished the scotch, passed out, went to work nothing to do, going back home to pass the fuck out.

I NEED A WEEKEND TO RECOVER FROM MY WEEKENDS

Highlight of the day GRETCHY

Agreed - that was brutal for a Sunday. Brutal, but awesome.

Highlights: Bacon (of course), actually being at Carkeek in the daylight (I don't think I've ever ridden down that single-track when I could see where I was going), bloody motherfucking marys (mmmm), and, of course, drinking from 10:15 until... 10:30. My liver hates me right now.

SARAH
It's finally over.

TERMINATOR
No. There is another chip.

He touches a metal finger to the side of his head.

TERMINATOR
And it must be destroyed also.

John suddenly understands what he means.
Terminator looks at Sarah. They both know what must be done.
John shakes his head.

JOHN
No!

TERMINATOR
I'm sorry, John.

JOHN
No, no no!! It'll be okay. Stay with us!

TERMINATOR
I have to go away, John.

JOHN
Don't do it. Please... don't go --

Tears are streaming down his face.

TIGHT CLOSEUP TERMINATOR, turning toward John. The human side of his face is in shadow, so we see mostly the chrome skull and the red eye.

TERMINATOR
It must end here...

JOHN
I order you not to!

Terminator puts his hand on John's shoulder. He moves slightly and the human side of his face comes into the light. He reaches toward John's face. His metal finger touches the tear trickling down his cheek.

TERMINATOR
I know now why you cry. But it is something I
can never do.
(to both of them)
Goodbye.

Sarah looks at Terminator. Reaches out her hand to shake it.
They lock eyes. Warriors. Comrades.

He turns and steps off the edge. They watch him sink into the lava. He disappears... the metal hand sinking last... at the last second it forms into a fist with the thumb extended... a final thumbs up. Then it is gone.

I have never been cut off at a bar in my entire life, and for that to happen at 6:30 on a Sunday evening really tops it off. I think Kalen rufied me- I saw mischief in his hair.

I'm also very proud to be the highlight of your day Sketchy.

Oh. Oh, Yeah. I think I'll be okay. 11 hours of brunch is rough. Boozy brunch. I ended up on Nygaards couch, hardly able to move I was so booze infused.

Once again, I adore you guys. No, not ambivolent, <3. Grand Sunday 'ride.' And by 'ride' I mean 'drinking'.

Whew!

Gretchen....

My hair may have mischief, but it must not be very smart. Slipping you the rufies, then going home early? What's the point of that?
