So according to the SeattleDIY calendar there's sposed to be an all-girl bike ride on Sundays at 1pm (Slow Sundayz), but apparently it hasn't been happening. I'd like to see it happen, if not on an all-girl level, certainly on a let's-ride-bikes! level.
I'm small, I take great pleasure in riding my bicycle, and I'm SLOW.
So. Let's go slow, on Sunday.
Where: Cal Anderson Park (the fountain)
When: 1pm meet-up, 1:30pm depart. THIS SUNDAY, Dec 16th.
Where to: wherever the fuck we feel like*, let's just ride bikes!
**wherever the fuck we feel like must include hot chocolate. period.
Steady rain does NOT cancel.

my friend jessica used to put this on, but she's been lax about it lately. i can get you her contact info if you want and she can probably rally her troops to the cause

I am planning on being there, but I seem to have caught whatever bug's going around and might end up sleeping through it.
If I do show, I'm counting on this being a real Slow Sunday, and not a Fast Sunday in disguise.

I came to this thread looking for Kris Kristofferson. I'm leaving very disappointed.

Yep, I slept through it. Hope you kids had fun, and SS needs to make a comeback in 2008.

Bikes!
Hot Chocolate!
Bread Dumpster!
Thanks for organizing Nova, I had fun. Despite the "slow" moniker, we made great time due to not needing safety & mechanical stops.

as a fun-sized proto-clairvoyant, i foresee many Slow Sundayz in 2008.
possible themes?
donuts, lakes, a tour of dumpsters, etc.
that had to be the least sassy .83 ride ever. but it was still lots of fun and i still left feeling a little bit nauseous from the rich-ness of my hot chocolate.
yay!

Damn. Caught this day after the fact.
Well, I did football and visits with the old roommates at the old casa. Then bike date and dinner with cute boy and good people.
Next month!

Aw, I wish I'd seen this in time to forward it to Sylvie. Then, again, we were busy sleeping in until 2 PM after Santarchy.
Unfortunately, the Seattle DIY calendar still lists the Slow sunday rides from the previous schedule and a couple weeks ago, she bundled up and rode in the snow so she could wait around for the non-ride. It may be worth contacting them to make sure the DIY calendar lists the actual rides now that it's started back up again.
