RAZ: Riding southbound downtown 3rd Ave around 8:50 this morning, in the left lane to avoid getting stuck behind buses. Very rainy. Headwind big enough that progress was none too quick. Cold. Wet.
BITCH in red Honda CRV: Turns onto 3rd from University St. and starts heading south. BITCH falls in behind RAZ and starts tailing RAZ really closely, obviously not happy at the fact that RAZ is not moving fast enough for BITCH'S convenience on a street BITCH is not legally entitled to drive during this hour of day.
RAZ: Catches a nasty gust and gets blown to the right side of the lane.
BITCH: Uses this opportunity to pass way too closely. BITCH lays on her horn as she passes. RAZ nearly slams into her as a huge sideways gust blows RAZ left again.
MOTORCYCLE COP: Turns on third, passes RAZ with space to spare (flashes RAZ a grin) and pulls over BITCH, presumably to slam BITCH with ticket for driving on 3rd during the no-car hours.

great story. The motorcycle cops downtown have proved to be more entertaining and amusing than the normal flavor of surly.

Yeah dude. I high-fived one as I was on my way home a few weeks ago. Guy was getting off his bike about to write up a ticket and saw me coming in time to stretch out a palm and meet my outstretched hand.

I wonder if the copper would have given this present if he knew I was a Jew?
Thought I would spread the good cheer though. It made an otherwise gross commute a cause for celebration and revelry. Showed up at work dripping wet and giddy.
