Perfect, were're about the same height: you can captain for a stretch ifn you want. No specific plans re: train yet. I was thinking of crashing for the night and training back the next day. If they won't let the monstrosity on the train, I guess I'll have to ride.

Dudes I gotta spare set of crank bros "mallet" pedals at my house.
If you wanna put them on stoker cranks I think bob rides CB pedals. The beauty of these is that the platform is enormous so street shoes work too.
(I also kinda want to ride that beast, at least take a spin or ride a bit of stretch).

That's becuase the evening train does not have bike hooks. See discussion at beginning of this thread. bike accomodations on the evening train consist of buying a box and stuffing the bike in it. High points were the centennial trail, Bob taking a turn in the front, Chuckanut, waking up on Sehome hill and looking out over a foggy Bellingham.

We say a standard, commodity ultralight right next to the Arlington airport, which is huge magnet for ultralight flights: I went to an ultralight meetup there once, 'cause I likes me some planes. I'm not certian that one's the one that crashed.

Split from Perry and some others and rode a couple miles on and up the first Chuckanut hill to my friend's house.
Walked in on a dinner party of folks old enough to be my parents (they were awesome). Stayed up till past one drinking wine and Jameson. Best shower ever.
Woke up at 10, quick breakfast then back into Bellingham to meet David and his GF and her parents for a jaunt in Bellingham Bay. Raised sail in light air, winds quickly filled in till they were 10+ knots. We sailed around until about 3:30.
Got dropped off near the train station. Bought a bus ticket. Wandered into Fairhaven for soup and coffee at the Calaphon. On a five-o-clock Greyhound and back to seattle by 7pm.
Big thanks to y'all. That was my first century and I had a blast.
PS. Bob or Brandon, I think one of you have my shell? Drop a line or something and we can arrange for transfer.
