Didn't see you on the ride, you must have been on the special hobo-wiener .84 ride.
For the dozen or so of us who showed up and rode, it was a good time. Though at least one person could have helped Gregg pay for the beer...

Astonishing! There are actually people in this club who will show up and ride without talking trash beforehand on the internet! Ben's not one of them!
Gregg, didn't realize you got stiffed, we owe you more than one beer.

laura and i had a wonderful ride in the afternoon, complete with a GG campfire, trail exploration, mud bogging, single track, and pizza. all with a full load of wood.
also, i happen to enjoy the emotional train wreck that is the forum. thank you very much.

where did you go trail exploring / mudbogging? i was out there exploring on monday - went down the dog park trail to the base of the slide and discovered that it comes so close (but so far!) from connecting to nw esplanade dr. i also verified that there is no trail through north beach park, but there is a pretty serious mud bog.
also, i rode all over the beach. it was ridiculous, but redeemed all of those steep-ass hillclimbs in blue ridge.

we did pretty much the same thing.
i'll third that there is no way thru north beach. especially on road bikes at dusk with a load of wood.
