I'd go to Whiskey Bar if I could get there and back quickly on my "lunch break".
Well, in any case, the rain is coming down pretty good out there thonight everyone. I hope you all get sopping wet, very cold, and can't start a proper fire.

I'm heading to whiskey bar then, @ 6:30-45ish or so.

They're attempting to burn green, rain soaked christmas trees. Your wish will likely come to fruition.

who's got a christmas tree?
Several in the alley (between Boylston & Franklin) behind my place in Eastlake.
UPDATE: There are only two in the alley, both are near Louisa. One is in a yard waste can, the other outside - wet as all hell.
Have fun! :)

don't fret, it's blowing through. It was a wild as any this winter ride home from Bellview tonight. I have a beer in hand and microfleece sweatpants on right now.

'Cause Christmas trees are notoriously slow to ignite.

right, silly me. theres no difference 'tween a bone dry tree, indoors, wrapped in warm current filled wires and one sitting out side for days in the rain.

Fuck you guys!
This boy is stumble-down drunk, and has miraculously not broken anything in my apartment...
I have no idea how he typed that last post on his own - let me tell you, it took him a long while.

Agreed... Remi was D-R-U-NK and I'll wait until tomorrow to see what sort of bruise I got from the kick of his, which I can feel but hasn't colored in yet. =)
So glad he got home ok; or at least glad he got to someone's home ok.

i also made it home okay. since rojay made it i'm guessing koos did as well... that only leaves dj stroky to have failed between the duck island ale house and the university district.
andre was right, you bastards are terrible when just one person brings a trailer.
p.s., remi i've got your helmet. i'll bring it to campus tomorrow if you want to retrieve it.

Lee thanks for bringing the trailer and hauling our fire wood.
Downtown, lower queen anne, Kinear Park trails, lose Lee, Dravus and 15th meet up, Derrick drives by, Ballard Bridge to Lock and Keel, Bucket-o-Brisket with boundary Bay, The presentation of the future Mrs Greening, Ben disapears, Load up wood in Lee's trailer, Fire at Gasworks, Hobo Camp was complete with electricity driving a complete computer, radio and sonicare charger. Remi was a mess.
Holy shit, I rode just past this probably 3 minutes before this happened. I saw a couple groups of teens outside the studio. I was heading south and had turned off Elliot and cut down to Alaskan, the cop cars shot past me as I was near the cruise terminal. I don't recall hearing the shots. More police cars continued to come by. I guess I did not see the kid after he was shot but this would be the 4th person I had seen die while on a .83 ride.

Yes, good times. Good job on the Christmas Budweiser, Remi... though if I recall, the rest of us were doing just fine as well. I'd never been to the hobo shelter at Gasworks... good to know it's there, especially if you ever feel like robbing a hobo camp of nice electronics.

The Hobo-camp-cybercafe was the most post-apocalyptic, Gibsonesque thing I have ever fucking seen and I think I slurred that at some point.
Koos got pictures and said the guy was playing PS2 ports on it.
It was nice to see those of you I knew and meet those of you I didn't.
My 5 am wake-up to drive to PDX hurt.

On my way to the last Thursday ride I attended I rode past a post-life Aurora Bridge jumper. Cop car blocking the road, a body wrapped in a big yellow sheet. Not much hub-bub about it. What a sad and disturbing way to go.
What does this say about our rides? And how in the hell have you seen three people die on rides!?!

tr.v. ef·fect·ed, ef·fect·ing, ef·fects
1. To bring into existence.
2. To produce as a result.
3. To bring about.
i'm pretty sure that it wasn't television violence that brought you into this world. i'm guessing it was lots and lots of whiskey and the back seat of a lincoln somewhere in the woods of minnesota.
