it's coming. cold, hills, delicious chili-like food substance.

if you do not want to get yelled at by cascade folks this year i recommend you drive your car around the course - the idea is that it's apparently closed to bicycles but not automobiles.

The idea is that the Chilly Hilly, STP, Flying Wheels, and RSVP bring in the money that Cascade uses to pay Hiller's and all the other staff's salaries, and their event insurance probably doesn't cover outsiders crashing their event.

...or just wear a sign that says "I'm not part of Cascade, don't give me any free cascade stuff", ride the route, pay for your ferry ride, and don't eat any of their food. They shouldn't have any reason to complain about that.

I paid the cascade tax two years in a row, I might as well go for a third.

We could also hope for an obvious finish line as well, but as a two-year veteran, I don't really care anymore. I know where to go.

besides they sound neat going down the hills.

we do have such a sign, it looks like a pirate flag. if they're worried about their event insurance not covering people other people who get hurt on their course they should close the route.

I think the pirate flag pretty accurately indicates that you're not part of the Kaskade Klub.

no one cares what cascade thinks.
if we did, we probably wouldn't pirate the ride to begin with.

if they're to stupid to get the joke, let them be angry.
last time i checked we're not gonna stop anytime soon.

Apparently the wife is doing some sort of ride around Bainbridge that day, so it's looking like the kids and I will be available for finish line duty again.

I can make a couple batches of cast iron skillet cornbread.

On a side note, my sister will be visiting that weekend from Va. Do we have a sag wagon of any sorts where she can assist with, well, I don't know. Passing stuff out at the end? Serving chili? Smiling and looking pretty? She plays a mean game of tennis, but no biking.

Anywho, let me know.
