Hey

Gregg and I were gonna go off on a bc ride t'night and invite y'all... but regardless that it is going to snow tonight... there is a fog warning on wednesday, and there is nothing in the world that I like more than riding in the dark in the fog. Fog trumps snow.

We're meetin at the coffee shop across from REI at 7pm.

Bring a dwarf goat if you have one... but not if it will slow you down...

(edit: yeek... just got home... didn't mean to get anyone's panties all knotted up... we're just going for a bike ride and inviting people we know in pointy3... and it's Greggs group, I'm just the administrator/facilitator/enabler/whatever)

So, John leads a splinter group that only wants to ride bikes fast with heart monitors.
Henry Leads a splinter group that only likes to drink beer.

I'm tired of riding bikes with a bunch of different types of people. We need more subgroups!

Derrick leads a sprinter group that only likes to eat fried things?
Lee leads a splinter group that loves Jesus and open-source-software?
Where's Orion? We need a military officer's splinter group!
Who's going to lead the Mid-twenties homosexual experimentation splinter group?

Can I be a splinter cell of a splinter group? A 2nd tier of beer drinking and riding. Beer drinking first.

Also Ninja splinter group.

Once spring starts I wanted to start some rides that would be suitable for the fat tire road bike crowd that likes LHTs this year.

Meet downtown around 9:30, maybe take a ferry somewhere, try to find dirt roads/paths/etc, eat lunch, go 30-70 miles, home by dinner. Get lost, with bikes, find new places. Maybe camp sometimes (yes, that kills home by dinner). Less party, more bike, but no heart rate monitors.

no, no, no, alex.

long haul truckers only. we can't be letting any old riff-raff out there riding and besmirching the utility blue (with splashes of vomit green and blood red or whatever).

you should buy one, it's cheaper than a rohloff.

I see how it is. See if I share the extend-a-fork for marshmellow roasting ever again. Hmpfh!

we just have to get surly(tm) branded marshmallow forks, made from 4130 and with bottle openers on the handle.

Recognize!

I will be unable to loan out my Long Haul Trucker, as I will be riding it with the others who will be riding their Long Haul Truckers.

So, who other than Laura and I have Bianchi Volpes?

Isn't it time that we form the Bianchi Volple Biatches splinter group?

snowing in Bellevue/Eastgate. Feel free to intercept me and impart upon me the glory of a death by bicycle-induced pneumonia, I'll be downtown between 5:40 & 6:20 enroute to West Seattle.
