Authorities are searching for the person or people responsible for setting off an improvised explosive device (IED) on a bicycle path that runs parallel to I-205 last night.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said the device was ignited on a bike path that runs along the highway near Strawberry Lane on the west side of the highway…

wow...huh...welcome to the 21 century where a pipe bomb is now equated with the the new terrorist slang "IED".

After looking into this a bit more it looks like this may be anti-bicycle-jihad. Most notably, there has also been some vandalization in addition to this pipe bomb which I have mapped out because I'm nerdy like that. That same blog states that "Parts of the I-205 bike and pedestrian trails have no lighting or very limited lighting because vandals have ripped apart the lighting fixtures." Sorry to play this down...
