Setting aside the friction between Point83 and CBC, Ride from Seattle to Vancouver and Party ("RSVP") is a great ride.
It leaves on a Friday and has many less riders on route than STP, and it goes through a very scenic part of the state.
It has also been sold out the last couple of years and this year the registration was opened to CBC members only and sold out before the public registration period started. I actually have a CBC membership but was waiting to register until I heard back from a couple of friends who ultimately had conflicts.
I would very much like to ride "this" ride and am wondering if anyone else would be interested in riding it with me.

Oh! I was told about this last year the week of the STP. I then got too injured riding the STP to even think of riding the RSVP.
And so I'd love to ride it this year. Since it's sold out... Does this mean pirate flags?!

Well, the thing I learned after my first couple CBC rides was: you can go on a ride to Portland, Vancouver, wherever ANY TIME YOU WANT without a bunch of folks who don't know how to ride in a pack (not that most of us .83ers know either).
My point is man, let's just ride bikes to Vancouver some time. I don't wanna put up with those other riders.

And you might find some space available on the train for you and your bike if you choose not to ride back!
Also it is very likely to rain. 2 out of 3 times I've ridden this ride it rained like a mutha and the one time it didn't it was hotter than hades! The CBC folks ain't living right I say. I'd choose a different weekend when Vancouver isn't full of squids. Squids! Maybe thats why it rains, to keep them hydrated.

by this logic we should move the FHR to a date so as to not be inundated by squids on the Ferry, especially as the weather is quite unpleasant in February. Odd that we should proponent pirating one race and argue against another.
I say definitely "no rsvp required".
And while were at it... anyone want to Pirate the S to S or Cannonball? Pirating the Cannonball would be funny as hell considering the origins.
