Are we doing a team again for this UW event? Do we have a captain? I can do it if no one is already on it.

Well I never. I graduated in 2004 and have held a steady UW job since! How's your job, btw? In danger yet?

wtf... that's spring break, considering I don't have finals week, that's two weeks... so I am only good for 300 miles or so.

lame.

Okay, we have a .83 team.

If you're with the UW, go here:

https://www.washington.edu/commuterservices/riderain/admin/indv_signup.php

and request to ride with .83!

oh nooooooooo... I didn't know .83 had a team! I was recruited in December by the psychiatry team. creatively named the PSYCHlers. get it? academics are so funny.

Wonder if I can switch. I'm out of the country the 1st two weeks in March, though, so won't be that great of a contributor regardless of team.

Shannon may drag us down in the trips department, but we some kind of bonus for a first-time participant.

It's hard to see how she can hurt us in the mileage department.

Besides, Lee is signed up twice. That's gotta help.

Yeah, the software they use for this is not so smart. I asked them about that.

We've considered volunteering to rewrite it at work.

I´ve never bothered to register for this before, but if you all think I´d help, rather than hurt, the team averages, let me know, and I will sign up.

I have a 6 mile commute, which I do both ways pretty much every day. But in March I´ll be out of town at least 1 week, maybe 2 weeks.

honestly, the chance for seeing .83's name up on the leaderboard is one thing -- if anything most of us are consistent 5-day-a-week riders -- but i really just do it for the free lunch.

hmmmmm. so I could drag us down by my two weeks vacation? what if this waffler rides a bike in New Zealand, do those miles count? kidding. I just wanted to make it clear I'm be in New Zealand while you're all riding in the rain.

maybe I should unsign, then we get my first timer credits next year, when my trips and miles would advance our cause more effectively. whatever that is.

Please people, no one is going for the gold here.

Sign up, it'll be fun. No one (reasonable) is going to get upset because you weren't performing for the team.

HAAAAAA!

On our team we beat people with sticks to make sure they maintain a clear Objective

Wind in the hair and open steppe my ass!

(sorry Miles, I got appointed as a Kapitan.)

I went to join the .83 team, but it was full (max of 10 people per team).

So I created team "Free Lunch", if anyone not already on the .83 team wants to join. Or if anyone already on the .83 team wants to defect.

Bump. It's March. Start keeping track of how often you ride and whether it was raining when you did.

Greg is right, time to post!

Post your rides here!

Also, for some reason we only have nine people now, so someone else can sign up if they want to!

*Bump* another reminder to post your rides.

Also, I have swag for my team members. One of Planet Bike's BRT straps and a few random gift certificates 'n' coupons.

If you want it, come on a .83 ride this week or swing by my office, OUGL room 230.

Okay, I'll let this thread die now.
