Hey All,
(Edit: Updated for March Date)
I'll be hosting the next RideCivil next Friday at 5:30, westlake center. It's downtown ride on a undesignated route with the intention of promoting civility between cyclists, motorists and pedestrians. You can think of it as a PC Critical Mass if you like. You can check here for additional details as they come up.
With any luck we can make it out eastlake to the CIP, I'll buy the first round. Hope to see you friday.
xoxo,
Seabiscuit/Dave
P.S. Alex, please stock up on some extra rock for the ride, we'll need it.

Not to worry, CIP isn't the journey it's the destination. Wed'll probably spend an hour or so riding around downtown before shooting off up over eastlake.

Do we get to yell at motorists and run red lights?

I've got to do something to get my fat, lazy ass ready for the CH/FHR. I'll be there.

Is it like real 5:30 or CMass 5:30 (6-6:15)?

well, um, cheers to the FIVE people who did show up for this ride. Only two of us were pointy-three-ers (wait snyder do you have a spoke card? are you really pointythree?) but it was a good time. Cheers to riding bikes with people who like to ride bikes.

Yes, I have two spoke cards. I have a 9/11 card and a .83 2007 card.
I'm either a triple agent cyclist (.83, Cascade, SLB) or a polyamorous cyclist. If people want to ride bikes at a pace that I can keep up with, and I have time, I'll ride with them. I think the inter-club rivalries are rather overblown.
Cheers to riding bikes and getting to know more people, over good beer, who like to ride bikes.

Hey now, we had 7 at the end, and that's not bad for a rainy february night. The ride was good, great meeting you Cat and Mike. We'll ride again next month, I'll post here, looking forward to seeing (more of) you then.

It's that time again folks -- RideCivil's on for next Friday at Westlake Center, arrive at 5:30, depart there shortly afterwards.
As always, the ride focuses on promoting civility between pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists. This month we'll have Spring Equinox a day behind us and some tunes. We're out for fun (wouldn't do it if it wasn't). Come on a long, it'll be a good time.

I second this. I need more miles, less cheery "how do you do, I'm a bicyclist! Come join us it'll be swell!"
But if I can make it on time, I'm in either way.

Not to worry, last time we rode about 10 miles before arriving at the Eleysian fields, and it was several more for me getting home.

Bump back to the top -- hoping we'll get some more riders from .83 this month. Should be a great (moist) spring ride. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Like many other rides, I will miss this one due to my work schedule.
Let's hear it for jobs.
