Now that the dust has settled from the FHR, it's time for me to start pimping forthe race I'm putting together for the end of March, the Taco Truck Time Trial
I doubt seriously I'll come close to matching Derek's prize haul, but I am planning on having a Conference Bike show up.

A shotglass? Hell yeah. Gotta show up on time for the registration.

But a sail race and an alleycat in one weekend could prove a fatal dose of awesomeness.
Be careful, I barely survived an x-c ski trek, Henry's Party and the FHR all on the same weekend.

Kevin, too bad we'll be riding around Tokyo still. But I'll eat as many burritos as I can, in solidarity.
Ben, we won't be making it. Plan accordingly.

Nine toes' least favorite ringer will either be in Bellingham or Sequim.
Just wanted to let you know I wouldn't be there Ben.
I know you hate it when people forget to post if they won't be able to make a ride. I'll try to remember to post an "I can't make it" update as the event comes closer.

Current prize list:
$51.00 for fastest male, female, and fixed
Swrve pullovers (2)
Swrve hats for DFL male/female
one-hour Conference Bike Ride from Dutch Bikes
Massage from Fiery Irie
Bike schwag from Bicycle Fixation
a couple o' cycle computers in cans
Count me in for this, although I've been breathing amine, diesel and hydraulic oil vapor at 16-17% oxygen for the last three months. When I jumped on my trainer, my max wattage is down almost 20%. I'm totally going to show up on the silly madone and race for DFL.

Aw, man, I swear to you I didn't steal the idea; I've been thinking about it for a long time.
But, having heard, subsequently, about the Los Gatos Gordos event, http://www.losgatosgordos.com/, I readily admit those guys had the idea way before me.
Still, there's gotta be enough tacos for everyone; viva the roach coaches!
Hope to see some of the scooters on the route--and come out the Alehouse afterwards!

have you guys seen the new taco truck on delridge and orchard?
it only gave me mild stomach discomfort,
tacos were 1.25$ each
tortas 5$
burritos were 6$
A tad steep but still tasty enough, they are open til 9pm

3 cases of beer for during the ride
a free keg of their Northwest-only Might Arrow at the Alehouse for the after-party
Just be sure to tip your bartenders well!

How are there going to be any hills if we're just going down to Rainier Valley, Columbia City and Madrona? I'm confused.

I rode my bike in the sun.
Rode it in the rain.
Rode it uphill.
Rode it downhill.
Rode it in the snow.
Ate steak tacos with sour cream & avacado.
Drank yummy beer.
Got safe.
Dreamed about bike camping with others.
Took pictures.
Laughed till my belly hurt on the conference bike.
Sang "Happy Birthday" to Professor Dave, loudly with others.
Appreciated Madrona.
Awesome way to enjoy a Saturday. Thank you Dave!
