See, we aren't just drinking on these rides.

They are business meetings. Remember that.

That's it. I'm going to go talk to my boss right now.

Time to file a few amended tax returns.

Am I the only one who thinks that riding a Ridley for commuting is first-order fucktardery?

Imagine instead if you were just given a budget of $1800 to build your own bike.

Hagens Berman is the title sponsor of one of the area's big teams. Ridley is one of their equipment sponsors, so if the law firm bought anything else it would be a bad move politically.

That being said, I can see your point. They don't really focus on the commuter market.

Hey, I got my job from a .83 ride.

I met Kevin while I was drinking around a fire at Carkeek and I expressed my love of Java. Then I went home and drunkenly finished my SQL homework.

A few months later and Kevin was my coworker.

Shameless plug: My employer is hiring and we pay an extra $75/month if you bike instead of drive.

Even better. That leaves room in the bike cage for me and more parking for the co-workers who do the icky commutes from Issaquah, Federal Way, Kirkland and Marysville.

$75/month if you don't consume a parking space. So, bus, bike, walk, skateboard, carpool using someone else's car, motorcycle and park in unmarked spaces, moped, etc. all work.

I got my job building spaceships because I met someone on a Dead Baby ride, at 1AM at Jules Mae's.

.83 is the roundabout reason Alistair has his new job. It's also how he got his girlfriend.
