I had to check bags this trip becase I'm bringing home a second Dahon folding bike. Once I'm dealing with bags, I figure it's time to bring home some .83 fuel.

So, what shall it be?

Balvenie 10 or 12 year-old is about $30 at TJs in California.

MacAllan 12 year-old is about $30 - 35 at TJs.

The beauty that is Beverages and More in California would make any good Pointy3er weep but their prices don't tend to be quite as low as you can get.

You can also get a fifth of JD at Long's Drugs for $13 when it's on sale.

Anything good and amber.

The reminds me I have a bottle of Wild Turkey that needs finishing.

Quote from a random taxi driver in TJ: "you want woman? You want girl? You want little girl?" I think this was at about 1 in the morning when my friend and I were both shitfaced and trying to figure out where our crappy little motel was. I don't know if that was the same night my friend got his check card stolen or not.

I'd rather have Trader Joes with booze then go back to TJ again.

Drink whiskey, not vodka. That way they'll know you're drunk, not stupid.

something about avoiding being a consumer drone that jumps to the alcohol industries every beck and call for an excuse to consume more of their product... I dunnknow... drunk...crowded bars... mmmmm...so much fun... even better if you know you are fluidizing the lipid bilayer of your synaptic cleft in that ever continuous pursuit of sclerosis of the neuron that seems to be the end goal of the average talking monkey.

yay. drinky drinky.

(I'm not against drinking.... I am just against being a slave to consumerized mass consumption of ethanol.)

on further review, i have decided that whether john intended or not, it's actually kind of poetic.

st. patrick's day, a poem by john
something about avoiding
being a consumer drone that jumps
to the alcohol industries every beck and
call for an excuse to consume more

of their product, i dunnknow -
drunk
crowded bars
mmmm
so
much
fun.

even better if you know you are fluidizing
the bilipid layer
of your synaptic cleft
in that ever-continuous pursuit of sclerosis of the neuron
that seems to be the end goal
of the average talking monkey.
