I'm looking for the exact podcast or other recording of it, but rumor is that last week BJ Shea on 99.9 (sometime around 9 or 10am) said that all cyclists are "losers" for wasting time riding bikes to work, bikes should be banned from all roads, cyclists break the traffic/road laws more than anyone else, riding around Mercer Island should be outlawed, and that he was going to "test out the bumper of his Hyundai Santa Fe" the next time he sees a rider in the road.

In other news; police responded to alleged "bike gang" reportedly racing automatic shopping carts for the disabled inside a neighborhood QFC. While all participants reports the night was great, one is quoted describing many points of the night as "bullshit."

Found the episode. It wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as the story I was told made it sound.

The "testing his bumper" comment was in the context of cyclists who blow through intersections in the cross-walk when the other direction of traffic has a green light. He had a few factual errors, some legitimate complaints, and a lot of blah blah blah.

It would, hence the reason I said "get it over with". As it were, I woke up this morning coughing blood, so I rode to the hospital on base (don't worry, it's only six miles away). That's why I didn't defend my alleycat DFL crown this afternoon.
