No silly, not this weekend. Future weekend. I don't know which yet.
BTW, in accordance with Style Man guidance, showing up to a group MTB ride on a 'cross bike is only stylish if your name is Sven Nys. Rentals are cheap, and there's a lot to be said for four inches of arse-cushieness in your rear triangle.

If it's a Sunday, then yes. I'll still need to rent a bike for two days so that I can tune it up first. Me and my goddanmed standards...

I only spent about 30 minutes there, but the trail I was on was pretty similar to the ones at Banner Forest.

I'm interested. I won't have 4" tires or even 2" tires, but I'll have fun.

Cool bike(asaurus), I think I'd like riding fixed in the dirt but not sure I'm man enough to handle riding popsicle.
I think Matthew is talking about the Kitsap "this side of the of the Sound"? It would be cool if this happens, and I'm certainly up for such a weekend gathering in my 'hood.
Just how "offical" pointy3 could this be? Any chance of scoring a spoke card?

YES! ME! WANT!
In other news, this weather we're having massively fucking sucks bunchy ass nuts.
If I'd wanted to have snow in April, I'd have fucking stayed in Alaska.
I would love to thrash the hills, although my mountain bike is back in the Rado with shot shocks. Could anyone fix me up for a day if we were to go? I'll bake you some biscotti...pumpkin chai biscotti.

Gretchy, you can ride my big rig any time. Err, uh...
I won't be using it until June-ish. Let me know if you wanna borrow it*.
Ok, seems like there's more than enough interest to make this happen. Two questions remain:
How soon do you guys want to start? A weekend in early/late April/May?
Although there's a significant amount of riding here in Kitsap, and some of it is even 700-by-not-narrow friendly, none of it is super close to the Ferry. How many of us have ability to transport those of us without a motorized bike rack? I could take two plus me...
But anyrate, to paraphrase Gretch, count on thrashing some hills in the near future.
Oh, and as for post ride beer stops, I think I've got a primo one.

Oh Matthew, you've hit the nail on the head. Silver City's Fat Bastard Scotch Ale is one of my favorites from the Northwest. What do i have to do now? Find some sort of "mountain" bike? i'll figure it out.
