My bro & dad had bags stolen from a mini-van in a smash/grab around 5pm yesterday (4/6) on Phinney Ridge.

If anyone sees a discarded Green North Face backpack in the area please pick it up and PM me. I'm holding out hope for class notes and cell bio textbook....

I think laptops were taken too but there isn't much hope for those

This has been happening a lot in my neighborhood (Fremont) lately.

We had 2 in one week earlier this year. In the second, the thief was in a hurry to escape and dropped a jacket as he ran off. The jacket's contents splashed all over the ground: about $280 in ones and five$.

The cops came, called the owner of the vehicle, they got their money back but lost some expensive electonic equipment.

I'm guessing it's a product of the sketchy folks doing business on Aurora.

Seriously? On my property or on the sidewalk?

We have a steel rod next to the door for just such occasions.

Hobo beat downs should be a national past time.

did they steal a bike? Why should we care? Car break-ins are part of living in a city, welcome to reality. Maybe ride a bike next time, much less opportunity for theft.

I have an electric dc triggered solenoid valve that I've been wanting to make a potato cannon out of. It could be hooked up between an air tank and a barrel. The air tank could even be pressurized to 100 psi with a bicycle pump...

Funny, I have two tanks in my garage right now, both are filled to about 3500psi.

Hmm... I have a welder and some tubing and pipe in various sizes. I would not propose to weld on a pressure vessel though. SCUBA tanks? paintball or PCP?
