I'm sketchy on the details of how it ended up there, but my shop has apparently had this bike laying around not getting rode for a couple years.
It's in perfect shape except for the worn out handlebar foam and old tires.
My boss wants $400 for it, but said he'd take $350. I think it'll actually go out the door for something closer to $200
I made the ad and figured I'd link it up here since I know ya'll like touring bikes. There's gotta be a way to make that thing play nice with 700c wheels. Seems like a fairly decent frame, could be one of those peicemeal-upgrade projects for anyone who cared.

Blackburn rack. A crippled Tittlefitz once rode on the back of that rack for almost 2 miles. Free if you take the panniers. A beer if you just want the rack.
$10 : Camping-Gaz camp stove and lantern. The stove folds down super small and looks like:

and they both use the same butane/propane cannisters. I'll also throw in a canister. I don't know how full it is. Maybe it's totally full! Maybe it's empty. I'm too lazy to shake it and make a guess.

Miyata 600 touring bike. From 1984. With rack and fenders that are only slightly cracked (the fenders, not the rack). 23", which is sort of like a 58, but smaller than 58's that I like to ride. Which is why I'm selling it.
It needs a little bit of sweet, sweet loving to realize its awesome potential, but it's ready to ride up Joeball mountain or your mother's ass. Handlebar tape is the original foam crap and peeling. Freewheel is a super cheapy Shimano 6 speed.

have to sell: a front wheel and disc brake for one of you new ruben kids.
front wheel is a 36h velocity dyad laced 3x to an xt hub with centerlock. disc brake is a shimano centerlock road, i.e. drop-bar-lever compatible. get half your disc-stopping-setup for cheap.

Did you ride with the Shimano road disc brake at all? I'm curious how they compare to the bb7 roads.
Also, I have a few 6-bolt rotors if whoever gets the brakes needs 'em let me know what size.

i did, but kind of unfairly - i eventually had the shimano up front and bb7 road in the rear, that bb7 is now on the pugsley. also, i have a somewhat different caliper configuration strategy from others (cf joeball) and tend to have quite a bit of lever-and-praying action involved in my disc brake stopping.
anyhow, as i recall it was just fine and stoppy, of course if you get the full kit and kaboodle you're married to centerlock or centerlock adapters for life. i used it on my gearate monkey out to ben country two and back.

You should pick up Eric's brakes first. The mounting brackets are specific to rotor sizes, and your life will be easier if you buy rotors that match the brackets that you are getting from him.
You probably need 160 f&r or 180 front, 160 rear.

But yeah, check and see what size rotors the BB7s/adapters you get are meant for.
Also, note that the adapters for different rotor sizes are different for the front or rear caliper. They're usually marked with rotor size and F or R.
BUT just to confuse things even more, for BB7s a 160mm F adapter, if used on the Rear, will allow that rear caliper to use a 140mm rotor.

lastly, i'm selling my big trailer. you've all seen it hauling christmas trees. it's a blue sky cycle carts made in bend oregon. hitches up to your seatpost, and is tall with 24" wheels. it has phil wood hubs and comes with a giant waterproof sealine bag for hauling your delicates. $150.

Mine is blue, it threads onto a widemouth nalgene and I think you can get it to work on bike bottles too.
I've always cleaned and dried it after use, the filter element is ceramic and has plenty of life left.
Add this to your kit and be self-sufficent while camping.
Comes with filter/pump, cap, filter checker, filter scrub pad, mesh storage bag.
Selling because I bought a waterbottle with a built in filter.
I can deliver Thursday.
I'll be havin that! Can you change the filter, or do you just rinse it off each time?

Shimano 105 hubs laced to Mavic MA2 rims with 14/15ga spokes and 4 Avocet Fasgrip tires (mostly 28mm wide, one is 25mm, 3 are in very good condition). 7sp freehub body right now, but I'll change it to 8sp for free. You can pick the width, 126mm, 130mm, 132mm, 135mm. $100 to point83 members that I've met before. These wheels have about 3-4k miles on them.
I'm thinking about selling my kayak to get something a bit smaller. It is a Mariner Max with tons and tons of room. Fiberglass, very good condition, handles great, not too heavy. It has a rear bulkhead and uses a float bag in front (included). Best for someone a little taller and/or heavier than me. It'll be listed for $1500 on CL later, but $1200 to a point83 member that I've met. I can probably throw in a paddle and sprayskirt for $1300. Get it now and you can do Blake Island with us next summer or Hope Island (which I expect to plan) in Sept to gather huckleberries.
I still have lots of bike parts too, ping me if you need something small like brake levers, a cassette, or a derailleur. I'm out of bar end shifters. I have some 8sp indexed downube shifters that I'd sell though.

It's been dibsies already, but on a technical note, yes you can change the filter but you can clean it too. It's a ceramic element so you just scrub it with a scotch bright pad. It's time to replace it when it's worn thin but it doesn't really wear fast.
