No, we have 12 ladies and 12 bikes, just not pictured. Miss Alyson Rae, Miss Caroline and Miss Mary, plus, some tough and beautiful East Van Polo Ladies for a special international flavor.

Approx. = 16 mediocre girls on BMX or 24 beautiful trannies on unicycles.

Malora- Firstly let me say that your shoes look uncomfortable. Also, I like what you've done with www.lactard.com. Finally, is it too late to get a date in the calendar, because I think it's time to bring the 3rd annual International Cascadia Cup into the limelight.

I was actually kinda hoping it was only nine. This year's twelve was too intense- I'm not sure I can handle that much again. Girls are scary.
This is probably my strongest argument for monogamy: it's not so terrifying.

It's true. I totally missed my high school prom because I was scared that the girl I fancied would reject me if I asked her for a date. Then I scheduled myself for overtime as NOC watch officer at my internship so I wouldn't have to deal with going to the prom stag - no kidding. Girls are scary!
Girls with bikes, doubly so.

9 girls 5 bikes. maybe you can account for the three missing girls, but how do you account for 7 missing bikes? your photo documentation lacks rigor.

Yes, but these are the kind of girls that race in events without racer categorization.
That's kinda my point.
Tell ya what, we'll go hang out at Speedy Reedy and we'll ask all the girls in kit that come by if they want to join us for a photoshoot?
Better yet, we'll ask all the dirty, mud covered CX girls.

Not all of us take our lunch breaks at "the Vu."
Whatever: host a CX race if you want to get your dirty on.

I'm sure I'll catch flack, but the women on the calendar look like women. By in large, the womens elite fields have body types of teenage boys. "Curves" aren't advantageous for going fast uphill.

Anyway the svelte and muscular ladies need attention too, is what AndrewW is trying to say. Ladies come in a sort of wonderful shapes and sizes, sometimes they look like very pretty boys with tiny breasts. It's a look that some of us appreciate.

I just spent bloody forever trying to find a way to say that and you had to come in and do it better than the posts I didn't submit. D'oh!
But yes. Rogelio said it better than me.

Some of us have had to explain our choice in lady aesthetic to their more buxom friends many times before.

you know, Molly's not going to change out the models at this point. Of the girls in this year's calendar, I don't think more than 2 of them race regularly.

You just indirectly paraphrased me as saying "boobies are bad."
Langston, I think this particular tangent no longer deals with Malora's calendar and more with preferred body types for some of the riders in this club.
Anyway: boobies are awesome and you should come see some real live girls w/ boobies at the Conor Byrne on Friday December 12, 8pm. Don't forget to Pre-order your calendar and you can get in on looking at some of the lovely ladies from your local bicycle community for an entire year. Hell, you can stop riding and you can still look at them; fifteen dollars buys you freedom from the tether that is your bicycle as it feeds your need for bicycle ladies.
They'll help you keep track of the days and this makes an excellent alt-calendar for those of you who work in auto shops or construction sites.

We should all start e-mailing Ben about our plans to attend or not attend this event now. I hear he needs to be notified in triplicate now for legal reasons. Also, the three e-mail updates must be seperated by at least 24 hours between each message.

hi guys,
nice weather we're having here. and how bout those cubbies? one hell of a baseball team. i heard something today about how the economy is in turnmoil.
This conversation is getting progressively more and more disturbing.
Especially the part about "nice weather" and the Cubs.
I recuse myself from further scary talk to include anyone's taste in women, calendar release parties, and women with bikes who are scary in general. Also anything involving Rogelio.
There, thread problem solved.

I like women, which is why I found one I like a lot, and managed to marry her.
Scary women issue solved.

- Don't be a woman in the men's elite race.
- Maybe if I pay Malora $15 to not threaten me with a calendar, everything will be okay. Hmm... must investigate this.
- I like women. I like women. I like women. I like women. Say this fifteen times each morning whilst looking into the mirror.
- To do: figure out what a "what what" and a "it" is.
- Find a woman I like. Marry her. Solve scary problem. Repeat.
Ok, got it. Anything else? Re-recusing myself...

grrls = awesome.
bikes = awesome.
but it seems like every year, just as I think I've gotten to figure out either of the above, .... they throw a new angle into my world ... making me realize, more than ever, how much I have to learn about both of the above. :)
and about this world in general.
but iss'all good cuz, as the saying goes, "life is nothing if not learning", right?
