Hey guys... I haven't been on a thursday ride in a while but I thought I might try and make it out this week... IF there's interest in rolling over to a party at EVO gear in Fremont/Ballard. There will be free beer.
Here's the deal:
-Husky Winter Sports (I'm a snowboard trainer for this school) is hosting a party at Evo gear starting at 8:00 pm thursday night.
-Forum Snowboards will be presenting their new movie (2 years in the making.) It's called Forum or Against em'. I enjoyed their last movie "THAT" quite a bit and I'm stoked for this one.
-Entry is $5
-There will be FREE pyramid beer on tap. They probably won't run out, at least they didn't at the last party I went to. Believe me, free Pyramid Snocap is not something you will find anywhere else!
-All ages. Bring your ID if you want to enjoy the beer.
Anybody down?

Bribing us into joining your existing social life is not a viable strategy for increasing your thursday ride count.

I can't think of anything that I need to say here, actually.
And that'll meet my troll quota for a while.

Is this really what you do all day? At least I have an "existing social life."
Damn man where do you get your Haterade at?
Forgive me for suggesting that you spend 5$ for all the snowcap you can drink rather than spending 5$ per drink at some lame ass bar like normal... It seemed like a hot ticket to me. But if you'd rather rack up a $30 bar tab and not watch cool snowboard movies then that's your deal.
Looks like I won't make it to Westlake anyway because I'm working till 7:30.
Hopefully you guys do something cool.

Does your "existing social life" involve riding bikes with us once or twice a week?
Or ever?
(don't recall ever seeing this person)

we did start riding bikes over 3 years before you found us scott. lots of people filter in and out :). halfpipey here is our resident shredkid that comes on lots of hike/camp trips and the occasional bike ride over the years.
if we do end up going north, 5 bucks for endless amounts of beer isnt too bad of a deal. id chip in for that. but who knows if we'll go that way or if everyone else can be talked into it. using logic and telling us about our 30 dollar individual tabs is smart, but logic doesnt always work well with us.

Three points
1) Any bar is awesome once we show up
2) Many of us have actual jobs
3) There is nothing lamer than a snowboard movie.

I think the kid's angry that you lured him in with a free product and then hit him with a $5 service fee.
Purple drink is better than Haterade, but not as good as orange drink.
Will there be mustard sandwiches at this event?

I've met him. He was a nice enough guy too. No need to hate on him. $5 for unlimited sno-cap is a deal. **EDIT**
Man, that posted before I was ready.
No, I do not think that bottomless sno-cap is enough of a draw when it also means watching snowboarding flicks and not riding bikes on a clear, gorgeous, cold night.
It's not like he's promoting a drum and bass night or anything.

Nope, only when I see a post that really bugs me.

Ignoring the fact that you said Haterade without a trace of irony, I will confide that it is homebrew of the finest quality.

Because no one saw that coming.

AND he's a really cool guy with a great always excited personality! miles traded being nice for his long locks?. you don't have to want to go, but...be nice (wait, can you say that on the point 83 forum?)
I am REALLY into snocap this winter, and $5 for all you can drink is a great deal! Just hard to get this group to go watch a movie as part of a ride...even when the movie is about bikes.
I'm going nighthiking, and not riding bikes, maybe I need to stop by afterwards for $5 (which I'd basically call free) Pyramid.
I wish you could combine $5 Pyramid, Christmas ships, AND nighthiking.
and, good night. to quote Ben.

Point 1, and maybe even point 3, are TOS worthy.
