<sigh>

The two things that I take away from this are:

1. We don't know if the guy 79 years old was a competent driver, because WA doesn't test over a certain age; a signature is all that is required IIRC. For that matter, I don't know if the guy who was killed was a competent rider, 'cause WA doesn't require a license to ride a bike.

2. In the comments, someone mentioned that cars are big and bikes are small; in an accident the car wins. I KNOW THIS!! WHY DO YOU THINK YOU NEED TO TELL ME THIS??!!

the little thumbs up or down icon gleans alot of info though.

it gives me hope that humanity at large isn't as fucking callous and selfish as the comment section.

Driver 79 years old driving Lincoln Town Car. I have a proposal that the older you get the smaller the vechicle you drive...so, at 79 he should be driving an electric golf cart in Arizona!

In all seriousness, anybody got a bicycle to donate for a Ghost Cycle?

I'm up for a trip on Sunday if need be.

Actually, that would be a perfect thing to do with my failed attempt at a utility bike.

Well, I have most of a bike to donate... It needs a fork and brake levers.
