Interested and have a commitment at 7pm. Anyway we can be back in Sea-town circa 6pm?

Possibly interested. I was up at Stevens today. The back side is open and awesome!
Then we left early to avoid the hellstorm of snow.

I'm fine with shooting for that (or can offer to drive the car that leaves earlier if some people want to stay later).

Then I am in. I bought a jacket/pants set from a craigslister today, got goggles and gloves, and can't be bothered with the board/boots/bindings decisions this week. Rental for me.
We can reload those lift cards and not wait in line, right?

Anyone wanna go to Crystal or Alpental next Sunday? I usually prefer those over Stevens; open to all options tho, we'll see...

I'm not good enough for Alpental. I'd like to give Crystal another try (only went once and the conditions were terrible), but it's a long haul if we need to be back by 6.

I wish I could come, but I'll be franticly trying to get all of my stuff moved from my old house to my new one (IHOB) this weekend.

Since Stevens was closed yesterday and is closed today & tomorrow due to "extreme and continuing adverse weather" and reopening on Friday, I imagine we will play Sunday by ear?

i think i have this weekend free. if anyone is up for a trip to the mountains, im in. i have a car and can fit gear + 4 people.
stevens or crystal are both fine with me. both are the same time away from seattle. i love crystal for the gorgeous views of rainier on a clear day, the huge fast chair lifts, and the runs that put stevens to shame (length, i like long runs)... but i love stevens too (learned how to ride there) so im game for either.

Regardless of avalanches and flooding... the weather's looking pretty shitty for skiing this weekend :( .. current forecast is talkin bout freezing levels around 4000 on Saturday, 5000' on Sunday. will keep watching the weather tho.
Re. Stevens vs. Crystal: one reason I prefer the latter is that, while they're both about 2 hours drive, with Crystal that's more of a "known quantity". Seems that westbound traffic on Hwy 2 can vary a lot, depending on how much traffic is coming over the pass, and then it gets all backed up by that first light you come to in Sultan.

Yeah, playing it by ear sounds good. I can decide as late as Sunday night.
So if skiing doesn't work out on Sunday, you're all going to come help me move, right? A small army of pointy3ers could get it all done in under two hours!
Beer and take-out will be provided.

I'm 50% for going anywhere but Snoqualmie this Sunday.
Will continue to bring heavenly lunchables.

I'm 50%+ too. Only reason to pass is if the snow conditions look terrible...no reason to spend $60 on a lift ticket for bad snow. If that happens I might go XC Ski instead at a sno-park near Snoqualmie.

I vote for pushing this out a week. Stevens is calling for rain tomorrow and Crystal doesn't know yet if they'll be open and also has a potential for rain.

I'm fairly flexible, Saturday is just when Christine works so it's harder for me to get the car.

+1 for wait another week. This last storm cycle totally screwed up the snow pack. Even if there's no new snow and the off-piste sucks, another week of grooming will make the groomed runs more fun.
